I’m not going to go bore you with the reasons why. They are complicated and personal anyway. I would rather take some time to comment on the immensely positive experience Kat ownership was for me. The Kat was an awesome car for me. Folks still stare at you no matter where you are. I can only imagine what it was like for the early owners where rarity was even more than it is today. But mostly, it was this site that made the ownership experiences a complete one. I can’t imagine anyone out there that owns a Kat and still hasn’t stumbled on this site. I know there are several, but I just can’t fathom how much they are missing. The group here is so unique. I don’t think I will ever encounter a “web community” like this one again. We all have differing ideas and opinions, but ultimately, I believe that heart of the group comes down to every member showing respect for other members. You just don’t see that on any other sites. Of course we still have our differences and some have left, but the group that is still here is truly unique. The past summer with the Kat was a truly awesome one. One I doubt I will ever forget. Just too many great experience and great friendships to think I would ever encounter that much good fortune in one summer again. I also want to take the time to thank the sponsors of the site, the Krehel and Goertz families. I don’t know that you planned this site to become the entity that it has, but I assume you modeled it around yourselves having met you and seeing he similarities. Thank you for all your efforts and providing us a place to get excited about the Kat. As for me, I’m now a non-owner. Probably won’t frequent nearly as much and will certainly keep my opinion more restrained in any future posts realizing my position. But my best to all of you. You truly have a very special group here. ------------------ |

Bill, it was great to meet you at PTS, and the stars and stripes will live in infamy with a prominent place in the PTS video. You parted with the car, not the spirit that brought you here. For personal reasons you should frequent the board. This message has been edited by MIKE GATLIN on 12-02-2003 at 06:54 PM |

Bill, The best to you and your loved ones. I don't think you should consider yourself an outsider. I say take a picture of the car you currently own and make an avatar of it. Then tell us what you doing with it. It has worked so far for GaryC. Seriously, I think your passion for prowlers is still there and you should not consider yourself a stranger. Your banner is the proof of purchase and this makes you official POA material.

NO,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Bill, say it ain't so!!! WhealyBars - You'll notice I name many people different names,,,,that is out of respect, and I always did respect your opinions on this website. Now I'm truly sorry I didn't meet you this past summer. Catwoman gave good reports on you, and now you say you are leaving us before I could really get to know you well. I wish you all the best that life has to offer, and I, like others, figure someday you will own another cat. Stop back into the bull ring here and keep us posted on how you are doing once in awhile. Best wishes, always! Larry ------------------ 28,000 miles of smiles

Bill, I hate to read your post on this thread. I know it is not April 1st, so I am presuming you are being honest when you say you sold the cat. Just because you are a former owner does not mean you are not welcome as a FULL member (as to FULL OF IT like Alley CAt and me). DavidN still posts and we are glad he does. You are a quality guy and I surely hope you stick around and someday you will be back driving a cat. I am shocked you sold your car, I thought you were a lifer but I understand the reasons are personal. Drop in OFTEN. |

Hey Bill, Sorry to hear you had to let your wonderful, patriotic Prowler go.... I know how it feels after having parted with mine a month or so ago... I am still staying on the site, and I plan on purchasing one in the future... Don't forget that even without the car you are still part of the POA family. I enjoyed the dinner you had with us Dallas folks, and enjoyed seeing you in Tennessee... If you ever come back through this part of the world, feel free to call us, we can still have a POA dinner.... Best Regards, |

Bill....sorry to hear you sold the Kat. I really enjoyed our conversations and your mods. I'm sure your decision involved your family. Having a 2 seater with a family is tough. Hang around...you'll be a KAT owner again someday. PS: If you ever feel the need, call me...you're welcome to drive my Kat anytime (as long as it is during the warm months) This message has been edited by KenG on 12-02-2003 at 10:01 PM |

Bill.........to say I am shocked is an understatement I agree with those who say that just because you no longer have your cat is no reason not to stay part of the group. You have been a friend, not just a fellow Prowler owner, and you still are. Please stay with the group...and perhaps one day you will own a cat again. CJ |

Thank you all for your kind comments. On the plus side, i will have a few things to sell. I'll put them in the classified section or ebay soon. Also, I'm not trying to keep my new vehicle a secret, I just forgot to mention it. After I sold the Kat, I bought a Mazda RX-8. Of course the biggest difference is the number of seats. Here's a pic.

Bill - others have said it more elloquently than I can, and I don't want to be repetitive, but I will say this. I have enjoyed chatting with you and reading your posts and seeing your pictures. I was looking forward to seeing your stripes and stars in June, but more so, meeting you, since we missed each other your last trip here this summer. I hope you'll stick around and keep in touch. Don't let the new ride keep you away from Texas, either. Best of luck to you, and, I know I'll be seeing you in your next Prowler. Take care. ------------------ |
