Are you towing, shipping or driving in? Anyone have room on a trailer coming out of FL?

Driving! For us, that's a big reason for going. Of course it's only a four and a half hour cruise for us!

Drive it is about seven hours and should be beautiful ... weather permitting.

Marty when will you be leaving? ... if I go the northern route it takes me through Louisville.

We'll be driving, cause we don't have a trailer. It's about 10 hours from Michigan. Hoping for good weather, so we don't have to put the top up.

Gary - just do it twice and you will have aboiut the same drive as us!

Scotty - no definite plans yet - since we are helping with planning we may go a dat early. I am sure there will be a lot of posts as the time gets closer where people figure out when they are traveling and meeting up on the road!

Ed, when are you and Sandy going down?, or are you leaving earlier?
If Ed, and Sandy are going down early is there anyone out there from Cincy that is going down on the 25th?

George... your going to have a great time. it is really beautiful out that way (although prices tend to get expensive in the smokies). I've driven all over the continental US many times (except Alaska) and through southern Canada past the Detroit side. Lots of adventures, but never been able to have a vacation just for the h*ll of it. Not a clue at this time if I can go or not... we shall see.

Not to be intending ta shed too much rain on this thread...BUT..

We (Jack and I) changed our plans and can't attend,-we were formally dis-invited by the event hotel management. No life companions allowed!!(dogs). "Take that smokie hotel and......!!! "

Maybe next year's National Event hotel will be as classy and life companion friendly as the Colorado Westin!??

The bright side is, that Alex will be buying AC, Lethia, Marc, Jack and I a Prime Rib Dinner on or about that time in Cheyenne Wyoming!!?

XOXO

It will have to be a SMALL suitcase. Since Bob & CJ aren't bringing their trailer to get any wounded kats home, I will probably fill my Prolwer trailer with my spare engine, some extra oil and a lot of tools.

Bob L. - are you still willing to work a wrench if needed?
