I checked the auction results and as of yesterday the results are not great. The "Kiss" custom did well selling for $140K and early 1997 Prowlers with very low miles sold for about $78750 and $72450. A 2000 Prowler did not sell, do not know why for sure and a 1999 apparently did not sell but had a high bid of #37K. Today, Sunday, I do not know if any more Prowlers will be on the Auction block. Check www.barrett-jackson.com and click on auction results to check. Fred C |

Fred - Not great results??? Hey, I want to reach the buyers who paid over $70,000 for those 1997s,,,,,got some land near Gila Bend to sell them. Whew! Wonder if they have a brother? '99 had a bid of $37,000 and the owner passed? Probably not a sharp decision. JMO |

Fred, I saw the Barret-Jackson auction on the speed channel, the cars prices were way over priced!! These bidders are crazy paying those prices. 1967 Vettes going for $100k+. I guess it all about location, location and location. The Barret-Jackson auction will be in West Palm Beach, FL April 11-13, 2003. Maybe I should sell my 1997 w/trailer for $70k and buy a brand new 2002 Prowler and mod it out with my extra $20k+ ------------------ |

Yes the $ seem to be high. I still find it hard to believe what those 97 Prowlers went for. As I have a 2000 I was more interested in that model year or close to it and in that regard the prices were weak. I am considering attending the Auction in West Palm Beach and registering as a bidder. Never did that and it might prove interesting. Heck I might even find my dream car, a Ferrari 365GTB4 Daytona Coup!! Then again maybe I should not tempt temptation. It looks like it is easy to get caught up in the action/excitement and bid to high, especially with the "Ringmen/Ringwoman" patting you on the back trying to encourage you to "bid more". |

Got the bidder package for the West Palm Beach auction and the bidder fee is only $150. Should be an interesting event and they will try to make it very good since it's the first. |

I have 2001 orange with 19 miles and a trailer that I will let go for 78k. I do not think that these prices will become the norm in my life time. A 2001 orange with 500 miles did not sell at the Kruse fall Alburn auction. It only bid up to 38k. This message has been edited by Neal & Mary Ann Bardens on 01-19-2003 at 08:58 PM |

Watched 5 hours of the auction live on Sat. I cried a little when i found out I missed 5 hours on Friday! I could watch every minute.... Not only were the prices steep, buyers and sellers BOTH had to pay 8% commission plus up to $1,200 for the auction slot. The bidder aides were obnoxious as they are supposed to be I guess. Amy practically dry humped her clients on the floor there... I saw the ad for the Palm beach auction and I swore I saw a guy sitting in a "Stars and Stripes" Prowler They only flashed it for a second.....anyone know the car or owner? Oh and Reggie Jackson was his usual A-hole self (I know from personal experience)...posting ridiculous reserves on all his cars....He hardly sold any because he was so pompous with his pricing. Anyway...I really hope the W. palm beach auction is televised. |

Well I only got to see a little of the auction "The Wife" doesn't like me to waste valuable Honey Do Time LOL watching stupid car stuff, all weekend I kept hearing that CMT song about fishing and something about missing her when she's gone I really wished I still owned the red super bird that I owned half of years ago it was a Red 440 4spd it was really cool to drive, and still ask myself "why" when I had the chance to buy from the original owner a very low mileage slim green I thk the colour was called, "Hemi" Cuda 4spd super cheap, under 8K Canuck bucks back then.. My neighbour across the street was there at the auction looking for a COPO Camaro he's mister Chevy here he's got 12 various # matching Chevy's and one COPO 70 Chevelle 4spd. He was going to tell me about any Prowlers he seen there but we haven't got together yet will post what he seen and heard. PK This message has been edited by PROWLER-KEITH on 01-20-2003 at 09:03 AM |

Gatlin, why do you keep coming out with sneak attacks? Are you trying to get C/A into trouble? He can do that on his own! lol How are things up in the great frozen north. It is COLD here. |

Hi Ed, darn cold here as well. Sometimes A/C can be a little too subtle, just trying to be sure of his meaning! Funny you should respond to this thread..we had the CrazyHorse tour video out the other night...I swear I laugh at the cape and Gold Wing segment as hard today as I did the 1st time. Hope all is well, Hi to Sandy! |

Marty, We are not sure that we will drive the orange kat yet. We drive the yellow kat when weather permits. We keep having second thoughts about driving the orange kat and we are in the market to buy one more, but not for 78k. Neal |

I say that I would sell it for 78k, but I have a habit of not selling anything I buy that I like. I really like the Kats and go out to the barn every night after work to check on them. This winter weather is killing me because I can not drive them. I enjoy driving the yellow and probably will drive the orange at some point. Mary liked the orange and that is why we purchased it. |
