There are tiny pilot holes in the driver's side front bumper. They appear as three very small dents where you drill though to hold it on.

If you don't want to mess up the bumper, there are a number of bolts on the bottom, just fabricate something to hold a plate utilising those.

tiny,

I bought our Prowler here in Texas and they already had the front plate holder installed (with screws into the front of the right bumper). I tried to remove since I have a PA tag and don't need a front plate, but empty holes look worse then plate holder. If you don't have holes in the front of the bumper, I'd investigate the "under the bumper" holders. They don't "damage" the bumper and look more refined (IMO). Good luck.

Same here Jim, mine already had the holes drilled. Better off to leave it on now.

But to Tiny - if the holes are not there - don't drill! You'll regret it later! Use the screws underneath - I think on an earlier post someone had offered a prefab bracket.

Here's a great alternative that doesn't require any drilling and keeps the esthetic symmetry of the front end of the car in tact.

Here's a link to the Carnuts.com site where you can purchase the bracket kit for $99.00, sounds like a great price to me!

Let me know what you think....

Good Luck!

Hey, Tiny, if you need a license plate bracket, do a search for the Prowler PlateMount on the site for more information or send me an email. I'll send you the details on the PlateMount system I sell for Prowlers.

What is a PA plate and why don't you have to run a front plate if you have one? I got a ticket for no front plate the other day, and I refuse to put a front plate on the car! So if there is some way around it ie PA plate I wanna know about it!

nuked -- sorry for the confusion. I'm in the military and chose to register our vehicles in my home-of-record state -- Pennsylvania (PA). PA uses only rear tags and this way I don't have to re-register our cars each time we move (plus I paid 6% sales tax rather than 8+% TX tax).

why not get a Tom Mills front light kit and not have to worry about the bumpers?

I used the realrod bracket. cut it, added some hinges, brackets and a electric actuator. Now I can have it down when I need it or up when I don't.

I asked a friend who is a cop in Ventura Ca. I was told that if you dont have a bracket or holes for the plate, you don't have to have a front plate...

I didnt put a front plate on our 02 PT either. No tickets so far
