I also spoke to my Mopar contact regarding availability of the Prowler convertible tops. It is my understanding that the tops are actually sold as two separate components with two separate part numbers. The two parts are: 1. The material top There is a backlog on both parts. There should be more of these parts available in mid-October. Not sure of the numbers, but at least there is some relief to the backorder. Also not sure when the next availability will occur......depends on the vendors who supply these parts. Bottom line......anyone who has ordered a top or been approved for replacement under warranty, will eventually receive their order. |

Just took my Kat back to the dealer as like some , the top shows some freying (Like a old pair of blue jeans). It is only about 1/4 of a inch on the passenger side, about 2 inches up from the bottom edge. Good news, dealer looked at it and immediately said they would order a new top. Glad I took it in before warrenty was done. Top still leaks on both sides but doubt that new top will change that. No complaints just thought I would give my experience. So far so good. |

Steven, I have what sound like a very similar spot on my top. Of course mine was at the dealer for over a year. I assumed that the top was showing it’s treatment. I took mine in on Tuesday and the dealer did the same thing. Of course this was the second time I pointed it out. I’ll make sure I use the most recent service manager every time I go in from now on. With CJ’s post here, I’m not sure when it will come in. Of course mine is blue so that may change the situation. For the better or the worse, I don’t know. It’s great to have her updates as to what’s going on.

Update on my top anyway. The dealer told me the expected delivery date is mid next week. We'll see how close they are. I’m just doing the “skin” is my understanding. Again, I’ve got the blue top and the supply may very well be different. |

They told me a couple of weeks so I'll also keep you posted when I hear more. Also thanks CJ for all the input and assistance you give everyone. |

While waiting on the dealer, my top has formed yet another rip or tear. This one from the inside and about 2" long. It is dead center and apparently is rubbing where the center latch is. This makes one big tear on the inside and two small ones on the outside passenger side. My question now is, how should I protect the new one? I follow the instructions and use the straps so whet else should I do so the new one doesn't end up like this? |

Hey, just got a postcard in the mail, yesterday. Oct 9 and the top is in. Not bad service at all. It took six days from the first time I took it in to the time I receive notice that the top is in. Will call Tuesday to set up appointment. I'm in Awe!!!! |

quote: what I did with mine is I used a utility knife and cut a small area out of the part of the fabic covered cardboard panel that covers the latch. The top seems, on some cars to rest against this area, and on some others not to. After the top is installed lower the top part way, get in the car, lower top down and watch to see if it hits any where |
