The Convertible Top's Secondary Catch (plastic) parts are on Back Order. Are they going to make more of these parts or am I S.O.L.? I know I am not alone because their are 11 of them back ordered before me. PN 5083347AA - Secondary Catch - $3.47 ------------------ This message has been edited by spoons on 09-13-2002 at 07:16 PM |

I ordered 10 of them and they were here within a week. Maybe it depends on what region you are in. If you guys (or gals) want me to order them for you, let me know and I'll check into it. ------------------ |

MikeR, try part #4897884AA - from the parts index in the "Garage" section. I think this is the complete and EXPENSIVE latch! |

I don't see what all the hoopla's about. I've got a '97 (purchased 11/97) and the latches haven't broken. The top goes up/down several times a week. I also haven't experienced the torn top many people have. Mabye it's not the parts that are bad, but the way the people are using them... ------------------ |

I got mine today for $3.47 each. The difference in prices is because some dealers charge a stocking fee, which is BS. ------------------ |

The Plastic tab (Secondary catch) is $3.70, the entire latch is assembly is $270.00. All dealers can get this part within a few days. DO NOT spend more than $3.70 or you are paying over retail. |
