While looking for my new Prowler a salesman (at a dealer that didn't have one) tried to convince me to wait and put a deposit on the new crossfire.

Now don't get me wrong, it may be a great car but, to me it looks like any other Japanese sports car out there (same bubbly fastback look and with only a v-6 to boot)

I thought it funny that someone looking for a car as unique as the Prowler would rather get the Crossfire. Kinda like a guy going in a Dodge dealer looking for a Viper and they tell him they are out of them but, hey,....look at all the Neon's we have.

I had a similar thing happen to me - I had a vette and had decided to get the new Expedition when they came out. I drove up to the dealership and Ken and I were looking at the new line of Expeditions they had at the lot to see which one I liked. The salesman tried to talk me into the new Mustang they had just gotten in instead. Couldn't figure out why he thought I would want a Mustang when I had a vette. The correlation to me was not there and I guess he didn't get the fact that I needed more family room for traveling and didn't want to step down to the Mustang for a sports car. He couldn't figure out why I wasn't as excited as he was about the new Mustang. DUH - if I wanted a sports car I would have gotten another vette - not a mustang!! Tami
