Just wanted to let you know that research is being done by Mopar to determine whether it will be cost effective for them to produce another run of Prowler trailers. I don't have any confirmed facts yet or any commitment. It was indicated that they may ask me for a poll of how many owners are still interested in purchasing a trailer for their cat. Might not hurt to express any interest to me now...maybe that will prod them into positive action!!? Keep your fingers crossed! ---------------------- This was a former post that I started regarding the trailers. I only have a couple more days to gather some information regarding how many people would be interested in purchasing a Prowler trailer if we can get them to do another run. I'm going to take one more shot at this (talking with Mopar) and it would be most helpful if anyone who has not posted yet and is interested could post on this thread. It will give me some ammunition to work with. Thanks for the help! This message has been edited by CJ on 07-29-2002 at 11:05 PM |

Ajax just delivered the old Red color trailer to me by mistake. I ordered Candy Red. I would sell this one and order another if they became available. Otherwise I have to repaint. Frank Tipton 1MOR TOY |

1Mor Toy, Just courious but if they sent it by mistake shouldn't they correct that problem? Also, how much to sell the wrong one? CJ, I will want one but the time is not right now unless a great deal comes along. Wife says I pay for my daughters wedding IN FULL first. Go figure. ------------------ This message has been edited by onaprwl on 06-27-2002 at 06:01 PM |

Actually, I don't want a trailer... but what about the 500 or so future owners??? I expect that there will be demand for at least another 50 to 100 trailers within the next year. ------------------ |

YELLER CAT is also very interested. Due to storage concerns, I had no interest until Larry Lord's trailer stand became available... then it was too late. I am still saving those nickles and dimes, so If they are going to be available again, at the same price or lower, I will make sure to be ready then. THANKS, Jay |

Last friday night at our cruise in I was talking to some Prowler owners and one said he might like to have one. I told him they are no longer available unless they do another run. IN MT PERSONAL OPINION DC should do another run of at least the same percentage of trailer per cars sold as they have unsold cars. Many people I have talked to are in the same boat I was when I bought my car. They cannot afford to spend the $5,000 (trailer, wiring, hitch) for the trailer right now. Because I believed the crap they put out I withdrew from my retirement account to buy the trailer way back when. So my $4,600 actually cost me about $10,000. Plus as people drive the cars they see others with the trailer and how much space it gives them and then they think they need one. With the Larry Lord upright trailer stand, storage isn't a problem for most, and that was another concern most people had with purchasing a trailer. If there are 1,000 cats left new and 20% of us has a trailer then at least another 50 should be built, but with the number of current owners that would buy them the 1,000 cars still not sold would not be able to get a trailer. I do not understand the thinking of DC. Build them, never advertise them, then pull the plug because they are not selling. My 2 cents MAKE MORE! |

I have to agreed with Wild Cat for the trailer, when I did bough my Prowler I have to sell some of my retirement stock to paid for the car and trailer at the same time but Yellow Trailer was not available. I cannot afford to get it now due to my retirement account shrinking due to the stock market.. I have been look for another alternative such as motorcycle trailer and have them paint to matched my KAT. I also have been look into older US and English sport cars some of them have a chrome rack mounted on the top of it own trunk to carry large luggage. I remember I saw one on the old movie "Around The World in 80 Days". I am look into designing one without drilling the trunk. |

I think the fact that once it was publicized that there were only so many (120?) trailers left and they sold so fast should demonstrate that a lot of people want a trailer but were waiting for financial or some other personal reason to buy later. There are surely more people wanting to order. Marty |

I'd like one, but I would also like the price to come down a tad. 5k jeepers...I could buy a car with a trunk for that amount of money. Seriously though, If DC would make another run I would by one... |

Hi CJ As Sam 771 said looking at a motorcycle trailer, please see link http://www.all-scot.com/index.htm. The cost is cheaper and to me comes with everything but the style of the rear end of the Prowler. Other companies also have trailers at half the price of what DC is selling theirs for. Up here in Canada it ends up costing $10,000 so that doesn't help Canadian sells. |
