Just received my covers for the front of the car and the Trailer......

There is a bunch of velcro to put on the trailer and the car....... is that how they mount ? I purchased these from American Stichco Inc. Did the ones from Chrysler mount the same way ? How about the Speed Lingerie ? Man, I want to protect the car and trailer but how does it look when you remove them ?

Thanks,

John

That's the real deal John. I don't have the bra for the car but I too was surprised with all the velcro. I decided not to use the trialer top cover and I keep the bottom part on the trailer as much as I can. Unfortunately some of the velcro does show at the top of the trailer when the bra is off. I have seen some folks use the narrow velcro just under the top to minimize the site lines. Does any of this make sense? Bottom line is is does look good when the bra is on.

The Mopar bra for the car does not use Velcro but the Speed Lingerie Bra car bra does use some. If you live in a very hot climate the glue will get hot and the velcro will slip. I got around this on the trailer body portion by using 3 pop rivets on each side to keep the velro in place. The Speed Lingerie trailer lid cover does not use velcro. You replace two screws where the hing bolts to the lid with snap screws. The lid cover then just fastens with elastic straps snap to the hing mounted snaps. Male to female

Rich,

I stopped by the Chrysler dealer today and they took my order for car & trailer cover as well as car & trailer bra. They even gave me 10% off list price, but had no idea when anything would be coming in.

It sounds like you're recommending the Speed Lingerie trailer bra over the Mopar. Am I hearing you right? What about the bra for the Kat? Where does American Sticho fit in the food chain? I still have time to re-direct my orders.
Thanks - BB

Rich,

If I am correct, was your trailer the one with the Speed Lingerie bra at Louisville ? If it was, (it was purple) it was beautiful - I have a picture of it.

BB - the Speed Lingerie is beautiful and of much higher quality - but it is also $900 for the car and $400 for the trailer. I simply could not see spending that for something I was putting on the car to drive across country and knew it would get beat up..... now, if it were for show, yes, I would but the Speed Lingerie one....

John , yes that was my trailer. Thank You for the compliment

BB, yes I think the SL Bra is a better quality and much much better design than the Mopar, but as mentioned it is very pricey. I purchased mine as a total package which included the Kat Bra, front bumper covers, mirror covers and trailer Bra. By purchasing the whole set I basically got the trailer Bra free. The SL Kat bra is also better quality material and looks better installed, but I have to be honest the design is inferior to the Mopar when it comes to the attachment
hardware design. It is very very difficult to install. However after reading SFCHIEF69's remarks I am beginning to wonder if mine was just assembled poorly.
I am not familiar with American Sticho. Hope this helps.

American Stichco makes the Mopar Bra for Chrysler. Along with bras for many other car mfg domestic & foreign...

Their private brand bra is suppose to be indentical to the Mopar version minus the Kat logo & word Prowler... Same mounting hardware as Mopar...

My Bra is MOPAR and I've had it for 4 years. They all mount to the trailer with velco. The other option would be to go to trim shop and see if they have small snaps that would fit under the top and attach the bottom this way and then modify the top to be like the SL top cover.

With my yellow trailer the velco shows a little but whenever I'm driving it is on and at shows no one really notices it. Just us picky a** owners LOL

I WILL SAY I WOULD RATHER SEE THE VELCO THAN THE ROCK CHIPS IN THE FRONT AND ON THE FENDERS, Yes I had them before getting the bra. about 300 miles and several hundred dollars damage

I put on the American Stichco last night.

It went on OK but the cut outs for the top bumpers were not in the correct position. Miss the bumpers by 2-3 inches. IS this normal ?

Also, some of the stitching is coming out on the top - I need to either send it back, or have my tailer fix it.

Have not tried the Car bra yet. I picked it up for $199 for the car and $149 for the Trailer. I will have it custom embroidered this Winter while the Kat is Hibernating.

To all - thanks for the info about the AS products. I wasn't at all familiar with it. It does look super on that red Kat (same as mine). Sorry to hear some of you are having problems making it fit right, there really isn't any excuse for that, especially for what you're paying.

I'll wait for the Mopar goodies to get here, but hope it's before winter. Don't think any of them will fit my snow blower!
