Everyone is always interested in the inside story, and there's always a great deal of speculation and rumor. Here's the real scoop!!! MOPAR has 120 remaining Prowler trailers as of this morning. They have sold 14 trailers this week alone and no one had any idea that the end is near. When these are sold, that will be the end of trailer production. So, if you are on the fence about purchasing a trailer, do it now! To order a trailer, contact your local dealer or one of the dealers that have been previously mentioned on the board that has special pricing. ------------------ Classic/Beautiful - I'm referring to the Cat of course! |

Order mine 2 weeks ago, I'm in my credit line big time. I like the look of the trailer with the Prowler. I plan on keeping the Prowler for years to come. With this latest news, I bet the trailers will sell out pretty fast. This message has been edited by topcat on 03-22-2002 at 07:52 AM |

Oh yeah thanks alot CJ and Bob! I've thought about buying one, just to have a complete set, ever since I bought the car, but I seem to keep spending large amounts of money on performance stuff and putting off the trailer, figuring....later. Now you go and announce the end and I have to start sweating all over again. I don't think I'd ever use it except for shows and fun but it would be nice to have one. Now I'm trying to decide, after Dean is done and the bill comes due, do I buy a trailer or a lift, which I have wanted for a long time. Of course both lead to more expense. Lift=raise garage door, epoxy floor, hire electrician to wire 220, and then start polishing the frame. Trailer=buy bra, powder coat tongue, buy Larry's trailer stand, paint trailer to match car when I repaint car etc etc etc. Plus on top of it all, I have a deal with Lynne that whatever I spend on the car she gets the equal amount to spend as she wants to. Man I hate this car. ------------------ |

Awwwww......geeeeee.....Marc..... You know how we like to keep things lively around here!! Such decisions you have to make.....You can get a lift ANYTIME, but Prowler trailer only for a SHORT time!!! Repaint the car? I thought Purple was the best....according to Marc. |

I agree, I would have to go for the trailer since the availability is going to be limited. If you are going to repaint anyway (why?), have you considered buying the kit. ------------------ |

Does everyone think that they will really stop production of the trailers?? I would think that if there is a market for the trailers that the trailer company would still build them, as long as they could get permission from DC. I certainly do not claim to be an authority on this, but I would think they would try to sell them. Opinions? ------------------ |

Ed......I knew someone would bring up this question. There is no thinking about it. These are the facts. The vendor will not have permission to build the trailers. They belong to DC and they don't want it. We all know that when they make a decision to end production, that's it! End of discussion. Sorry! |

CJ, Thank you for the clarification. I did not know if DC would let them proceed with production and just sell them direct, rather than thru the dealers. I guess I will have to make a decision sooooon. Thanks. ------------------ |

Wow CJ, thanks for the info. I know I would have got one eventually, maybe sooner than that now!! Not the best time for the end of trailer prod now, we just contracted to build a new house with 5 car garage for all the toys. I'm sure I'll find room for the trailer though. ------------------ |

Rich, I read in one of the DC press releases regarding the end of the Prowler that approximately 20% purchased trailers. That would not be many produced. Gordon |

That would be about 2340 trailers. ------------------ |
