I used three upholstery rivets on mine. They have black caps on top. Sort of look like a small "pop" rivet. I got them from my local upholsterer that does hot rods. ------------------ |

I didnt like the way it fit also, so I took the top of the organizer and folded it over so it is about 1 inch higher than the round speaker, and attached the velcro with two small pop rivets. Because the material is folded over you do not see the rivets from the front. It is perfectnow and has held fast for 5 months! Mike |

I didn't want to drill or cut anything on the car. So I went to a fabric store and got some 1 inch wide black elastic strips and a couple of plastic swivel hooks that they had. I laid the organizer in place and measured the distance from the top edge of the organizer to the nearest lip under the trunk lid. I cut two pieces of the elastic, a little shorter than the measurement to create tension. I then sewed the two pieces of elastic strips to the top edge of the organizer and the two swivel hooks to the other ends of the strips. Then simply hook everything in place. It's stable and clean, and best of all no sacrificial damage to your car. CORRECTION: Elastic was 1/2 inch wide, not 1 inch. Also had to cut a notch at top edge of organizer to allow for trunk latch clearance. Notch isn't visible with trunk closed. This message has been edited by Kelly T on 03-14-2002 at 03:37 PM |
