In the 'For what it's worth dept." This is a motorcycle trailer which can be used behind the Prowler for a lot less money.. It is made by Cycle-Mate and has a cost of $1,195.00. It has 22 cubic feet of storage, interior dome light and carpeted floor and weights 155lbs. In talking with the owner he said his partner's dad has a Prowler and he uses their trailers with no problems. He even offered to switch their wiring in the trailer to match the Prowlers only one taillite assembly. Their trailer comes with a yellow lens for turn signal and a red for brake and running lite. They will set the trailer up so all you do is plug it in with all four lenses in red. Also if you don't want the "luggage rack" they simply will not mount it and therefore no holes drilled.. Comes in Black, Off-White and White.. They are very friendly people and will work with what you want as they are familar with the Prowler. You can also order chrome wheels if you want for a small charge. The most expensive trailer they have is only $2,195.00... This message has been edited by prwlyn on 02-27-2002 at 07:55 AM |

Pretty good for the price. Someone at Ajax is making a killing on the Prowler Trailer. Someone should be able to reproduce for about half the price. ------------------ |

Ad says "Body with choice of fenders: 1931, 1932 Chev., 1935-1936 Chevy P.U., 1932 Ford or 1936 Mullins." Any of you car buffs know which of these fenders would be the most Prowler-esque? I'm only familiar with the 32 Fords, and I like the High Boys without fenders... Thanks. Mike |

I think the duece ('32) Ford fenders would be the closest. The best match would be a '34 Ford, but that wasn't one of the choices. If you are curious, here is how well the Prowler matches with a '34 Ford' (might take a few seconds to load) Check out how well the rear fender matches. Remeber, the fenders on the Prowler are bobbed, which means they are shortened from stock. (I know, the cat's fenders are stock, but in the terminology of the rodder and an assumption that it was 'made' from a '34 Ford {I know, it wasn't}. Thanks Sunbird. Cool demo too. I hope to look into one of these trailers before Woodward. Mike |

Mike - I know it is really close to Woodward, but the compnay that makes the trailer shown above displays at the National Street Rod Show in Louisville in early August. I believe the trailer I was in their booth that was actually for sale cam without whells/tires and would need to painted. Other than that, it was complete. Also, walking through the parking lots there were several trailers for sale in the $1100 to $2800 range, but you had to settle for style/color of these used trailers. Let me know if ever feel like cruising over this way! Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |

Marty, I went to the NSRA show last year. In fact I cruised in as a passenger in a 32' High Boy. Will probably be back this year. I didn't have it my mind to be looking for trailers last year. I guess I'm in no hurry. If I can rent a U-Haul Sport that would satisfy the function, just wouldn't be as easy on the eyes. Here are some pics from last year: http://web.qx.net/mcantrell/mystuff/NSRA/ The first pics are the 32 that belongs to a friend of mine. Interesting looking back that the paint job I liked best turns out to be so close to the Prowler's candy red... I'm just hoping the weather clears up like it's supposed to for tomorrow (snowing this morning). I'm leaving here at 9:00 to head north of Dayton to get the Prowler!
