There was a 2001 Silver Prowler on eBay that did not draw a bid. There was no reserve and it could have been yours for $ 37,000. It was near Minneapolis. eBay 180882719. If anyone is looking for a new silver, you could probably make a deal. 56 miles on it. An orange with 20 miles sold for $ 37,000 in Allentown, PA. ------------------ This message has been edited by ed monahan on 03-03-2002 at 01:55 AM |

Ed, what's that say about the value of our cars. Seems there are plenty of people who like to look at them, but few that are willing to put up a decent price to buy one. Those prices are a steal considering what some of us paid. And no, I didn't buy my cat for an investment. But it does concern me that if push came to shove, and I had to let my toy go, I'd loose more than a few thousand dollars. Hotrod... |

Just hang on...... My bet says as time passes all our cars will go up in value and price. Alex ------------------ |

The Prowler mentioned above is a Plymouth, so it has had $8,500 paid to the dealer, it should sell for around $35,000 (my opinion). I beleive that once the "new" Plymouths are gone from the dealer's floors we should see the market on these cars start to come up. How much? Who knows but I think it will hold it's value better than most. Steve ------------------ |

You're right Steve. If I'm not wrong someone had mentioned earlier that since the Plymouths were discontinued, DC had to compensate the dealers. Hence the better price. I don't know if it has anything to do with geographic location (I'm in Illinois), but my dealer continues to sell the Chrysler Prowlers for Sticker ($45,000 to $46,000). He feels that once all of the Prowlers are sold, the prices will get stronger. Not that I'm looking to get rid of mine. Hotrod... |

Sounds right to me. Once the incentive-enhanced Plymouths and most Chrysler Prowlers are cleared out of dealer showrooms, the Prowler wanna-be will only be able to get a used Prowler. It's then that the market should stabilize somewhat for these low mileage 2nd hand cars. ------------------ |
