I got a call tonight with a RUMOR

Looks like they might be putting a rebate on new 2000 & 2001 Prowlers on dealer floors.

If it is true looks like it could be a good time to be in the market for a new Cat

$8500.00 profit margin. Heard it from 2 different dealers. This is for Plymouth Prowlers only.

If the sticker is $45500, the price will be $37000 which is the dealers cost.

Bad news, our cars are worth 6000 to 8000 grand less.

Do you know when this will happen? A local dealer has a 2001 Plymouth Prowler that has been on his floor for at least 7 months...

I have no first hand knowledge about this but it seems that it may not be just PLYMOUTH Prowlers from some of the deals being offered. None of the blue Mulhollands are Plymouths, are they?

Mulhollands are Chryslers. The last 2k1 Plymouths were orange if I am correct. Mulhollands were the first Chrysler Prowlers.

This is a terrible thank you from Chrysler! This happened to me in 1987 from Porsche. I purchased a new 944 Turbo for $41,000 and three months later they gave a $5000 rebate on only the 944 turbo. Needless to say, it KILLED my resale forever, because they 1. gouged me at initial buy an 2. killed any chances for the car to bring a decent resale value. Yes if you buy right now you luck out, but the rest of us have suddenly suffered a vast decrease in value for our cars. I don't care though because I plan on keeping it.

thanks Chrysler

I mentioned this in an earlier posting. I have a retired relative that owned a Chrysler dealership. He said that some DC's incentive are kept HUSH HUSH from the public for a while. Then the salespeople get an commission incentive to sell and PUSH THE VEHICLE. If all else fails, the dealer has the his ace to play.

I think this will help the people that keep their KAT for a while 3-5 years.

Think of this...the sooner they are all gone, the better for the value. It's like the old adage. If you can get it, you want it worst. Then there will be a demand for it.

Sassy

well i don't think all of us will loose, there is alway's a buyer for something and if you've done some work to your car whether being mild or radical, it set's you apart from everyone! how many people do you know that buy exotic cars, yes it is exotic and don't do something to their car! If you go to allot of car shows, the exposure is great and there is always somebody that's what they want and they are willing to pay for it, because it's already done for them, they just pay and get in and drive. I do have to say though, that for the price most of us payed for car, we do have the baddest and coolest car out there!

Haven't done a lot of posting, but I think it may be time that you all get to know me. I ame the person whom is responsible for Getting Top Cat his 2002 Deep Candy Red Prowler and the Friend Program through the help of one of the Members! Way to go Top Cat! He is so exceited!
There is a $8500.00 purchase incentive from Daimler-Chrysler on 2001 Plymouth Prowlers only! Because of the phaseout of Plymouth, DCX is contractually obligated to those Plymouth franchisees to purchase back or offer monetary compensation for discontiuance of a product or service. The initial purchase option for 2001 Prowlers was $3000.00. It was just recently increased to $8500.00 for Five Star Dealers. Our Cincinnati Zone had Five that I tried to get a hold of, but could only get one and sold it that day! These dealers now own these Prowlers (Plymouth only) for no more than $33231.00. I wanted to get all five and sell them for $34995, but I couldn't react in time.

By the way I am the Chrysler Sales Manager and I can give you the inside scoop on everything that is happening with DCX and Prowlers. Ask, Topcat, I will be straight and honest with you, no BS! The phenomenon that is going on with Prowlers right now is so incredible! Thank yourselves, you are the ones whom keep the frenzie going! With DCX's announcement of the Prowler's final run of 300 Deep Candy Red Prowlers the market has turned completely around! Dealer's that were giving them away are now back to where they started when the Prowler first launched, $5000-$10000 over sticker. Doesn't matter the color. I have never been a believer in price gouging even though the market may say to do it. My Used Car Manager has been to the auction several times and goes at least once a week and he can't beleive the turn around on Prowler. I don't agree with your cars being worth less, I think they're worth more! Values on pre-owned Prowlers are jumping and dealers are scrambling trying to find them!

I was the only dealer in the Cincinnati Zone to get 2 Deep Candy Red Prowlers, 16 of three hundred went to our Zone, and Topcat got #157 of the 300 Prowlers. I have #163 still available to be sold and it will be sold for $45,400, exactly what Chrysler says we should get for it! No more, no gouging! Call me in the next few days, no matter where you are from and I still should be able to get it Drop-shipped to your area! You have to ask for me, Steve Runyon @ 1-419-529-4000 or e-mail me at snprunyon@hotmail.com!

Your vehicles are rising in value!

I just bought a 2001 burnt orange with 800 miles on it for 38,000 and my friend bought his silver 01' that had never been titled for 37,000. I guess if you were going to buy a prowler now would be the time cause they are bound to start climbing in value.

I plan to keep my Prowler, I got a Candyred sure I am paying more than if I would of gotten a 2000/2001. Getting one at 37K would have been great. I would rather pay a little more and get what I want. I let myself get talk into buying a C5 roadster, my stepdad used to work for GM. I save almost $8,500.00 off MSRP. The bottom line is I could not keep my eyes off the Prowler. When I went to the LA auto show that was it. I said to myself why am I making payments on a car thats looks just nice. The look of the Prowler blows me away, the Corvette is alright, GM sells a lot of them. I like style more than how much faster I can go. Thank GOD I was able to get all of my money back on the Vette, if I didnt get the GM discount I would have been stuck with it. It would have been a drag to look at your Prowlers and not have one! This machine (PROWLER) to me is price less.
