Should I sell my 1999 Red Prowler for a February 2002 Prowler as a better investment?

The biggest question would be, "Who is going to buy your 1999 and for how much? (I have a 99 Red so I am not denigrating your car.) What do you think you will get for a used Prowler? Prices are very low right now. If you bought the car as an investment you made a mistake. To sell it now would be a much bigger mistake. The price probably will go up in the future, especially since the end of production is coming in 3 weeks. You have a PLYMOUTH versus a Chrysler. That may prove to be worth more (or less) in the future. The newer cars have better suspensions. Which color will be more in demand remains to be seen.
If you buy a new one you will have to pay the taxes and possibly luxury tax. I don't know how many miles you have on your cat but a reasonable price would probably be in the low 30's.
No one knows what will happen in the future. You have to decide what you want and what you want to do. If it is purely speculation for profit, you are investing in the wrong field. Just my 2 cents.

About five years ago, 40-50 year old cars with only a 5000 - 8000 made are worth more money. Maybe the Last Prowler made will be worth some extra money in 40 years.

I have always been told to never buy a car as
an investment. Buy a car to drive. If you
want to make an investment, buy Dell.

2002 yellow is nice. Candy Apple Red is not that great. Over hyped and could have been so much more.

I just recently purchased my 1999 Red Prowler with 4200 miles on it for $27,500.00 and that price included shipping also. I felt that was a good enough price to buy one for an investment. If not I will still have fun owning one.
