Are those carbs? I can't tell. If so, why would you choose to switch? I guess we'll find out in a week. ------------------ |

Dan I was at Dean's shop last weekend and saw the car. Wait till you see what all he has done to the motor. Those are dual throttle bodies sitting atop a hi-rise manifold. That's all I can say until he reveals the details. ------------------ |

You guys must love to tease the rest of us. I'll bet a lot of us figured sooner of later there would be engine mods that would poke through the hood in the typical street rod way. We're drooling to know what is under there. ------------------ |

Hopefully we can get Dean to bring it over the mountains for the Rocky Mountain High event and we can all see it up close. Of course by then he will probably have even more modifications to share. ------------------ |

DAN DAN DAN, I, (along with the rest of the Nor Cal Group), are only concerned where you have been hiding out since Woodward, or all summer for that matter?? Many rumors, with the odds on bet being you don't have your car anymore and have retreated behind your computer to live out you quest for speed (or is it fantasy of beating me?) on the virtual screen??? ------------------ This message has been edited by jd2ksilver on 11-16-2001 at 10:24 AM |

Marc-Colo-99, If I can get the time off from work, I will be there!!
I am touched by your affection..!! Computers is my life... You have been to my job site... You have seen how many computers I have to work with. It looks like NASA in my work environment. I hide behind my computer just like you hide behind yours!! Don't be mad at me just because I am more talented than you are with Computers??!! OOOOOOHHHHHHH...!! That one hurt!! You just thank the LORD that you can pull out of work like you have lately. Some of us have had our privileges postponed for awhile but not for ever. Things are beginning to look brighter.... Later... |

quote: Boy, you've got that right Al. Dean gave me a ride last weekend and you talk about a strong running great sounding Cat. I thought the manifold might obstruct your vision but it really doesn't. Every single stoplight someone had to talk to us. Not just look and wave but say something. It is pretty radical looking but like the gears very basic in design (sorry Dean I know it was a long process) and not at all radical in the area of stress on the motor. ------------------ |

Naaaaaa. I will have to think about this one. But after you see what the motor really looks like (a real motor, not just a phenolic cover) it makes you want to get one. ------------------ This message has been edited by Marc-Colo-99 on 11-16-2001 at 10:14 PM |

Come on, you guys! Don't tease us until next spring. What does Dean have under there? Anyone with a Prowler is probably wondering what would push you back into the seat a little more when you stand on it. It's a basic part of the hotrod/Prowler spirit. Dean--even if it isn't quite ready, please show us! Even if we can't have it yet it's nice to dream. ------------------ |
