Larry Thanx for your help. We do need everyone to vote and welcome input or ideas on what we can do to make this a fun event. We will need lots of help (the Canadians are taking care of the coffee) and will be recruiting people thru the winter to help out. You are at the top of the list of volunteers. Maybe you and Ed can set up a roadside stand to sell Prowler goodies. You might want to recruit someone to haul your Diet Pepsi or call UPS and have it shipped to my house early. Make sure to bring extra 12 packs to be used as wheel chocks for all those trailering their cars. ------------------ This message has been edited by Marc-Colo-99 on 11-06-2001 at 09:01 AM |

Thanks Marc, I'll edit the above to Westminster. Being a bottom feeder, I wasn't told of the change north in Colorado, but I fully agree with the decision. Looking forward to helping anyway possible. |

Has anybody thought of a pack of Kats going from the NY/NJ area. I would like to go but it would be even better if a a group were to head out together. I'm always up to a good roadtrip. I've gone across the country more then a few times (not in the Kat, haven't had a good enough reason to do that yet, but this might be it). Voodoo |

VooDoo - the Crazy Horse Tour 2001 to Deadwood, S. Dakota, produced an influx of eastern owners heading west in a catavan! I would think Jason and Robin will make it from New Jersey, and another from Maine (SpclTee?). More to follow, I'm sure! Get excited now, VOTE, start making plans, as I can feel the EXCITEMENT starting to build!!

For us to make the Memorial day dates Donna would have to fly in Friday evening. Others may have the same problem. How far is Westminster from the Denver Airport? ------------------ |

Donny, Westminster is 35-40 min. west from DIA and 15min NW of Denver and 15 min SE of Boulder. Hope this helps. Alex ------------------ |

Donny, to save 40 minutes of time, have Donna parachute out over Westminster? We can pick her up there and have new pants awaiting! Laddie, Marc, & Alex:

Voodoo, We are out of Harrisburg, Pa and would definately be interested in caravaning out with a group. We trailered to Deadwood but would have been much more fun to drive. good point about not letting the cutoff date go too far out. There are a lot of people which need to submit vacation requests for the following year prior to 01-01-02. ------------------ |

Bob, I hope you two can make it and bring a caravan with you. GPS John is trying to make it and maybe you guys can bring the whole East coast with you. From previous comments on the original post in the spring about this event we understand the need to set the dates as soon as possible. I wish we could wait but we can't. The cut off for the poll is November 15 so we can get the date set and make hotel arrangements by the end of November. Other details will be announced this winter and we will be happy to add days if the group wants to but the weekend will be announced by the end of the month. ------------------ |

A lot of us have to get vacation times nailed down as soon as possible. We hope you guys stick to the Nov 15 cutoff for the votes to firm up the decision. We don't think it will help much to put it off. Everyone thinking about going--and it should be a blast--please vote right away! ------------------ |

Donny, We will be sticking to the Nov. 15th cut off date. The Westin hotel needs time to arrange for our group and as someone said, everyone needs time to make plans for getting vacation time set aside. As with planning for any large group it is going to be impossible to satisfy everyone's needs and wants, but we are working and will continue to work to make the Rocky Mountain event great for all that attend. REBELBOB, You can count on me if I'm still living in NJ. My company is laying off people left and right. If I get cut it just gives me a reason to move back to someplace warmer. No real reason to stay in NJ unless I have to. I have a lot of family just up the road from you in W-B and Scranton that I would stop and see first so I could meet you out that way, no problem. How long would you look to take on the drive out there? I know it is still a ways off but just wondering. Anybody else out there up for a ROADTRIP!!!!!!! At the very least there would probably be a few good stories that could come out of it. Maybe even some you wouldn’t want told. Voodoo |

Voodoo It doesn't matter to me. When we take the bikes to Sturgis we pretty much deadhead it but leisurely can be done. If you ever get down to this area give a yell. Bob ------------------ |

Make sure you vote. The vote is so close we want everyone to vote even if there is only a chance that you might join us. If you haven't driven the Rocky Mountains in your Prowler you need to try it. Twisty roads, views, vistas, wildlife (not just at Alex's house) and that Rocky Mountain High you can only get at altitude. ------------------ |

We can probably do either dates, Donna will probably fly in Friday night after work. We'll do anything we can to get there. Our first tour, Crazy Horse 2001, was so much fun, and we are itching to see everyone again and cruise together. If you haven't been on a Prowler cruise, go for it, it will be a super time. Obviously the dates won't work for everyone, so please vote so it will work out the best way it can for all of us. ------------------ |
