Bill - I like the location of your original MTD Air Intake System in front of the engine but have had concerns about heat from the cats. The heat shield appears to be a great solution. Please send me the upgrade system including heat shield and EGR bypass kit when available. BTW - I have noticed my car has less tendency to skip across the road when turning on rough sections of pavement since installing the front suspension braces. Thanks Marty ------------------ |

Bill, The parts look GREAT!!! I like to see such enthusiasm for a car and its owners!! Keep up the good work and I cannot wait to order a set of braces. I know I could use an intake now, but I would then have a used part to sell next month. Shall I put you down for one or two twin-turbo systems with the six speed...??? LOL!!! ------------------ |

To all POA associates - I fully back the Gallagher Prowler Intake System for improved performance, improved gas mileage, and an awesome sound of air rushing into the cat's engine. My dealings with Bill have been honest and sincere, and as a Prowler owner and a POA member he goes full bore to improve our cars.

Bill, Why did u change the design of the intake system. I mean the old system replaced the air box very nicely. Is there some kind of performance gain? Its just that it looks almost exactly like the MAC intake. not saying that i wish to upgrade, just wondering why the change... ------------------ Amsoil Engine and Tranny Fluid |

Alley Cat said it and I'll repeat it loudly! Dealing with Bill has been nothing short of complete satisfaction! I installed the first Cold Air Intake and had a small problem with the alignment of the unit on my car. Since all cars are not made "exactly" the same I called Bill and told him what was happening. Right off he wanted me to be satisfied and told me I could have my money back or replace the unit with the new model he was working on. I waited and today the new model 2.1 arrived on the doorstep.. Tomorrow it goes in. Way beyond the performance that I get out of this is the way Bill backs his products... Can you believe it in this day and age, Customer Service = 100%... Thanks Bill.. ------------------ |

• I haved decided to now go ahead and make the EGR Bypass Kit available also. This will be offered for $25 shipped. Please specify if you be adding this to a previously purchased Cold-AIr Intake as the heat shield will be included. • The price to have the Cold-Air intake converted to the Intake System 2.1 style will also be $25 shipped. This will involve you shipping back your Cold-Air Intake and having it converted, also adding the EGR Bypass Kit and Heat Shield, and then shipped back. |

Anyone ever dyno any of these air intake systems??? I'd be curious as what hp it gives. The air box on my Vette gained 16rwhp.... and that was without the benefit of the ram air effect into the duct. ------------------ |

The MAC intake claims 9 rwhp gain. With the EGR bypass on Bills PROWLER Intake 2.1 combined with a larger filter heat shroud it chould do even better. At least thats what I am hoping. ------------------ |

Bill - Installed the EGR bypass (five minutes with screwdriver) and heat shield (less than 10 minutes with screwdriver) upgrades to my MTD Cold Air Intake last weekend. After driving several days I believe my MPG has increased slightly and it has seems to eliminate a slight hesitation I had when accelerating at highway speeds. I wish I had done some before and after testing at track or dyno so I had some concrete results to report other than seat of the pants opinion. I do have a question for you: Is it my imagination or do you feel more changes from the upgrades when the car is first started? I sense that I feel more change in power when I leave for work in the morning and then again after the car has set long enough to cool off, like leaving again for lunch. If so, is this because of the amount of gasses not being recirculated into the air intake is greater when engine is cold? Happy Prowling Marty ------------------ |
