I have always wanted to do some graphics on the Prowler, but been the poorer (not the poorest, JP) Prowler owner, I cannot afford custom painting, so I thought maybe going the import way with vinyl.

PS sorry for the poor imaging, no high tech equipment or programs here

Hey, there's nothing wrong with vinyl graphics. Recently, Jason applied some vinyl shade - shift flames to his 2001 Orange. And I must admit, they're awesome. The only problem was deciding what color to get the flames in. We found a place on the net ( www.speedgraphics.net ) that has a large variety of colors and graphics. The color we picked was the shade shifting magenta to gold. Very cool - the people at Woodward saw them!
Also, Check out the site - they also send you samples of the vinyl colors 3 pathces for $3.

I was at Woodward and had the opportunity to look at Jason's Kat w/ the shade shifting vinyl. His car is very nice looking. Without being able to touch the edge of the flames on his car, you would not be able to tell the difference, from any distance. I think he said he paid around $330 for his flames, which were on both sides and the hood. I also have some vinyl on my car, including some lettering. You can't go wrong with vinyl in my opinion. If you want to change it, you heat it up and peel it off. That can be an advantage over painting things, especially if you wish to sell your car in the future. Plus, in the case of an accident (or rust, like on older cars), you don't have to redo the entire car.

I agree w/ BeWare - all's you have to do is please yourself!

Hi again! Jason just left for Florida today ( lucky him ) BUT, I have the camera and just got some woodward pics developed a couple hours ago! So...here are the flames. It's better to see them in person, so that you can see all 5 colors shifting. The main colors, as you see, are the purple to gold. Enjoy![img]

I seen Jason's cat at Woodward, and didn't know until right now that they were vinyl graphics. It was really looking! Did you say it cost him $330??

Excellent price for the amount he got to install

Yep, it was about that much. The shade shifts cost about $80 more. And, you have to install it yourself. But, the place where we got them from also sent the adhesive and applicator. Not a bad way to spend an afternoon / evening
