Anyone use them? What kind of perfomance can be expected by themselves?

personally, I find one thousand dollars for six tubes welded on a flange an insult. shorty headers are for the most part, least effective for improving performance. I like the idea, but the price, forget it.

Maybe $450.00 with a free set of "off-road" straight pipes.

I thought the 99 stock exhaust headers were already tuned to the point that aftermarket headers would make no significant improvement. Can someone please clarify. Does that apply to the 2000 and newer as well?

The idea that the 99's flow as good as the header is a crock. One side flows, the other is like a log manifold.
You might be able to barter them down on the $. They offer them free with the blower so how much can they really cost to make? They claim 7 RWHP gain, but who knows with what combo.

To achieve the 330 to 340 rear wheel Hp the Paxton headers are a part of the performance combination.
If you need more information please contact me.

Hey guys, I just noticed on the website that the headers are on sale for $699. I'm wondering about the install on these. Anyone done it? Also, the site claims a more V8 sound which is what I want. I might do this mod for a V8 sound. Any opinions?

That's still high, but better then 1k. I saw mine and they are really nice. Beautiful welds and a nice coating.
