We just got finished saying our goodbyes to the last of the Prowler Owners that came into town for the Mid West Prowler Owners Association's 1st Meet The weather was good the whole day, it did start to get cool as the sun was setting We ended up with a total of 17 Prowlers for our lunch/ cruise. I hope everyone had as good a time as I did. I could not have done it without the wonderful Prowler Owners from Illinois, Ohio, Michigan and Indiana. We arrived at D*ck Clarks at about 1 and the last of the Ohio group got there about 2. This gave all the early cats time to get to know each other and look at the difference's in the cars. They accomodated us very well at the restaurant and I didn't hear any complaints on the quality or quanity of food.
We had to make one gas stop for the Ohio boys, and so all of us pull into an Amoco Station. We got our share of looks. The Saturday night cruise in we went to was not as crowded as our Friday night but still several unusual cars including some Flame throwers. I had a cake made for the event and it was enjoyed by all, even though everyone ended up with blue teeth (HEHE) I had to include an autograph session, Thanks Phil for the use of the Gold Pen Tom & Susie Mills, Bob & CJ, John Shultz and Phil stopped by the house to check out the Prowler collection I have before we went to get Pizza at my favorite pizza place. Bob said I won on the Prowler collection We got to Mozzi's Pizza about 10 and they closed at 11. Well at 11:45 I said we better get out of here so they could close up. I was laughing so much I had to time getting a drink so I didn't choke from having water in my mouth and then someone say something to make me laugh. John Shultz wanted to visit the Speedway 500 Track and so he didn't have to drive his cat and park it out there I volunteered to be the bus driver and take anyone that wanted to go with us. Absolutely Beautiful weather for our Sunday in Speedway CJ then informed us they were also going to the track and ask if we wanted to go to breakfast with them. We all ended up with about 4 hours sleep but it was well worth the tour we got at the track. I have lived my whole life in Indianapolis area and had never gotten the VIP treatment that we got today. We were invited by special friend of Bob & CJ's to visit the restricted area of the museum storage of personal collection of cars, motorcycles & buggies. Then in mentioning I had never been in the pits or garage area the friend came thru again . pit/garage passes for all After walking around the garage and John getting his picture taken with Mario we were off to pit wall. WHAT A WAY TO END A gathering of the BEST PEOPLE THERE IS I did plan the event but it was you the Prowler owners that showed up that made this a weekend to remember. Sue and I want to THANK all of you that were able to come and visit with us in Indy this weekend. also Gary Hardy came in for the Friday night cruise and brought with him a 5 min. downpour. Enjoyed having you come in, hope the next time you can stay for the whole thing. ------------------ This message has been edited by WildCat on 05-13-2001 at 03:43 PM |

Thank's for the Great time you 2. Hated to get up on Sunny Saturday + head back. Was a Chilly + Windy ride home with the top down. Racheal's hair looked like she stuck Her finger in a Electrical socket. Thank's Sue for the Hospitality + putting up with Larry. Your buddy, Gary |

Wildcat & Sue, and all who were there with us - THANKS for a GREAT weekend! I had a fantastic time, and special thanks to Bob & CJ's friend who allowed us the opportunity of a lifetime in viewing the restricted cars "downstairs" and for the pit-passes. After I got home and unloaded and cleaned the car, I had just enough time to see the closing minutes of the Indy time trials for the weekend on ESPN. As irony would have it, I tuned in just in time to see Michael Andretti make his final run of the day. (Every time we were near his garage in Gasoline Alley, I was hoping we could see him and never did. That's also where we saw Mario! We did see Chip Ganassi, Eddie Cheever and a few other drivers though.) WOW - what a day... what a weekend! And all I wanted to do today was watch a couple cars go around the big oval and hear the screaming sounds of the engines. To say the least, we got that and more - so much more! Thanks again Bob & CJ! The cruise and car show on Saturday was great as well as the food at D. Clarke's Am. Bandstand (did I really eat that whole "Mom's Apple Pie"?) Thanks again to all who attended and made this weekend such a success! Ready to do it again! Just say when!!! ------------------ |

The weather Saturday was PERFECT...day for me started at the intersection of I-70 and SR 3....4 of the 8 New Castle Prowlers met at the truck stop and waited for In-Phil and Steve Clark....shortly 5 of us headed to Indy...one of our group headed over later....good trip and arrived at Duck Clarks about 1:30...quite a few Kats there already....met lots of people that I felt I already knew....great food at the DC's....got all 17 Kats on the road for a SUPER CRUISE past Geist resevoir...beautiful homes, boats etc.....want to live there when I grow up...had a great time with lots of great people....I avoided the blue icing, always pays to be polite and let the ladies eat first....Wildkat put on a super event...will be there for the next one kid...I will never forget the looks of the people we passed staring at 17 Kats storming down the road....there were no Blue Kats or Black Ties, but I think all other colors were represented...QUITE A SHOW !!!! THANX AGAIN TO LARRY AND SUE thanx from New Castle Kat owners..... ------------------ |

Larry, Sandy and I had a great time, when we finally arrived. Thank God you guys are an hour behind us or it would have been dark. Some idiot had to drop his M/C off in Greensburg, IN and there were some potty stops involved. I want you to know that Andy and Shelly got the big dessert and had spoons for everyone at the table. I, however, did not partake. I was the only one present that showed a little self restraint. This can be verified. (It had nothing to do with me being diabetic, either. It was just will power). We had a great time and thank you for signing 243 cars for me. I am selling them for $1000 each on ebay so I can buy a real Wildcat. It was nice seeing everyone and meeting a few new friends. The cruise was very scenic and we appreciate you organizing everything. I did eat a piece of cake at the cruise-in just to keep my weight and chloresterol up. Thanks again for showing us a good time. |

Larry....Thanks for all you did to get this event together. It was my first gathering of POA owners besides the people I've met here in Cincinnati. I had a great time. It was nice meeting all of the other owners, although I was having a problem keeping names and cars straight! It put chills down my back to see a line of 17 Prowlers going down the scenic roads around the lake. I was glad to finally met CJ and Bob. Thanks for driving all the way from Michigan. I wish I could have joined you at the track. I'm sure that I will have a GREAT time at Woodward (please make the plant tour late morning so I can get there!). Larry, whenever you want to have another event, just say when! I'm sure we can get the Cincinnati group to do it again. ------------------ |
