I had my Mother and Mother-in-Law over for Dinner. Gave them each a hanging basket full of flowers and a card. Since my wife's birthday is at the same time, I got her jewelry. ------------------ |

Having lost my mother in 1999, I spent some time today reflecting back on how much I missed her. Those of you with mother's are lucky, make everyday Mother's Day. ------------------

In my case, I am the wife!! Bob gave me a new digital camera and a weekend in Indy prowlin' with a great bunch of people for Mother's Day!! He even let me drive my cat and trailer there! His mother passed away a number of years ago and my mother has not been in my life for about 10 years. I also got a phone call and card from my son in the USAF, a card and hug from my other son and daughter-in-law and a card and hugs and kisses from my two grandsons!! What more could a Mom ask for? ------------------ |

Wow - only Al called me on my joke... I guess I still have to learn what type of humor to use around here. My wife had a lazy morning, got to take a long nap in the afternoon (without the boys bugging her), got to choose what she wanted for dinner (BBQ) and got lots of clothes.... I have to say - I got a better reaction out of my co-workers than you guys.... ------------------ |

No Cliff, Al wasn't the only one to get your joke. Guess it didn't surprise me, so I just didn't comment! Weren't you the one asking about using a leaf blower to dry the cat? I thought most guys bought their wives gifts like that which were really meant for themselves!!! ------------------ This message has been edited by CJ on 05-14-2001 at 10:59 PM |

Problem with your humor Cliff,,, I didn't realize you were joking. Last three Christmas' Julie has been given, 1) a 6' fiberglass ladder 2) a weedeater 3) a Craftsman tool box with tools. All were things that she requested. See why I keep her? I'm a lucky guy! |
