High speeds, UP. In Town, windows down. Someone gave me some heat at Woodward about that, let me see who was that? WC Grated, ALMOST all convertibles look like H3LL with the windows up and the top down, but our Prowlers look hot either way. |

I see some OLD LADIES drive around that way ....I run the top down in town when the temp is above 30 degrees...light sweatshirt and I wear shorts year round...interstate driving gets rough under 50 degrees even with a sweat shirt.....above 80-85, top up and a/c....but I NEVER leave the windows up ------------------ |

I drive with the windows up all of the time because I like the look. I also like black socks with white gym shoes and shorts. I use pocket protectors even if I don't have a pen. It irritates some people so it is worth it. |

No, my legs are my finest asset so I like to show them off. Plaid shorts and striped shirt OR a contrasting plaid shirt to go with the plaid shorts. See you next Sat. I am the quiet guy with the long flowing hair. This message has been edited by ed monahan on 05-01-2001 at 11:27 PM |

Todd, I actually do have the windows up on the X-way and Sandy usually has the heater on if it drops below 90 degrees outside. I am still trying to figure out a wind baffle that works to keep the wind off of the back of the head. It is worse in the Cat than on the M/C for sure. |

Unless its raining, my windows are always down regardless of temperature. Extreme heat is no problem here, but I usually run with the air conditioning on regardless of whether the top is up or down. ------------------ |

Top down, windows up most of the time. Especially on the freeway - cuts out the crosswind and makes the drive more enjoyable. Also, I don't have to crank my music so loud - it keeps the sound in AND - I can converse with my passenger without having to lean over to them (old man of 39 here - guess I am going deef). Can't say I don't put the windows down - I do - like on Friday when I am sitting in 5-15 mph traffic 50 miles away from home and it is 85 outside... I get to converse with the neighboring drivers and have a good time! OH - and Ed - I AM a computer nerd and resemble your remarks regarding dress habits - right Todd? ------------------ |

By the time the trend gets here in 10 years, I will be so old I will probably already be driving that way...I have never driven with the top down and the windows up....I REALLY like to see the convertables with only the rear windows up....now that IS a good look !!! probably is already the trend in California...didn't the Beverly Hillbillies live there ??? maybe that is where the trend started ------------------ |

Hate to tell you this but here in California - if the convertable has 4 windows, the front two are up and the back two are down.... get with the trend guys! ------------------ |

I see that a lot around here......people driving with the top down on their convertibles with the front windows down and the back windows up! Looks sort of ridiculous.....I always wondered if they forget about them or what? But how can you not see them? ------------------ |

You would think with power windows on most convertibles it wouldn't be to hard to roll down the back ones. On my `71 Cuda convertible with manual windows, IT Neverhad the fronts down and the rear up, or any up with top down, unless I was washing it with the top down ------------------ |
