Our 99 has 6500 miles on it, 6480 miles with top and windows down, 20 miles with top and windows up. Only put the top up for carwash.

So far, top always down.

Windows up when below 30 degrees and driving fast. Geek or not, I want to stay warm and want the top down. I guess I could put the top up to, but that seems more Geekish.

well, The rule book states never have window's up when your driving slow enough for someone to talk to you outside the car, and always have them up when your driving fast enough that conversation like this is not possible.

Okay - now that I have returned from Arizona I have to revise my answer!

in 104 degree weather - top up! , windows up!, AC ON!

On our drive there, I kept the top up until it was about 70 degrees (and we had a safe place to pull off and take the top down).

Going home - the temp started out at about 104 and I kept the top up and the ac on all the way to CA and the sun set. The temp went down to about 95 then and I put the top down and kept it down.... with the windows down.

I put the windows up around San Bernardino - when my son complained of being cold. Kept the windows up all the way home with the top down - even though it was 60 degrees.

What a fun drive! (125 mph is as fast as I think I want to go.... noone else was in the car with me at the time).
