Sasy, how did you like the color. What was your opinion? Give us some words as everyone is interested in the new color. I am assuming the car had factory plates. |

It went by fast and I was on the phone with a client. It looked sweet. To me the color reminded me of my mom's old 1970 Plymouth Belvedere. Demure in color but with 2002 statment. I would say it was a DC employee. I also was talking to a DC person the other day, and he said he saw a white one??? or he may have said a light one. Anyway I will get the scoop soon. I believe they did make 1 or 2 white ones a year or two back for some exec's. CJ can verify. Don't recall if they were considering that color or if they just wanted to have a different color. ------------------ Mods: 2001 Speed Yellow Porsche Cabriolet |

Last month my dad said he saw a white one in Salt Lake City - I told him he was nuts - that it had to be silver... I guess I have to apologize to him now - too many white ones have been seen. ------------------ |

Do you suppose that some people may be repainting their cars white? Like Nyle painted his orange or John Ross did a chromallusion? Etc., etc., etc.? Any of us can repaint our cars any color we want! ------------------ |

Very true CJ ... and quite possible someone up there by you has decided on a "demure" color that is "light" or white in color and has that oh so "2002 statement" ... I am sure you would know if it was a "DC" job or not, right? wink wink =) ------------------ |

I'm sure there are people out there who just LOVE gold, like Nyle LOVES that Charger Orange. Someone painted their's the color of choice. On our last run, I had a friend of someone riding with me who was dying for a white one, I told him to buy one and re-paint it, I'm sure he is not the only one out there. ------------------ |

That is the exact words use by this DC person which I have to keep his name secret. He did say it was in his words "a candy gold color". He said he physically saw it PERIOD...I know this person and this person is right on all the time. And this person goes to the plant ALL THE TIME!!!!! I am not saying this is the next color, but very well might be. I personally think so. Here is what I was told. Candy gold, black top, black pin stripe. ps The one I saw on Woodward may have been painted by the owner? who know. ------------------ This message has been edited by SasyMama on 05-02-2001 at 02:34 PM |

I don't know how many times I have to say this.......From an older post:
quote: My position on revealing proprietary information stands and always will. Anyone who does or doesn't work for DC and believes that they have information to reveal can do whatever they choose. The colors for the 2002 model year will be revealed to the press on June 7 and then become public knowledge. My integrity is important to me and I will not be goaded into doing something I do not believe is right. If this is a matter of "I know something you don't know" or "I'm going to tell so I can be the first one to reveal info and that way I look important"......whatever. I do not and will not play those kinds of games. Linda, if you have to keep this friend's name secret then he/she knows that he/she might be giving out info that is proprietary and that there is a risk. And if that is the case, then why would you want to jeopardize them? Of course, you can do whatever you like, but leave me out of it please. There is a great deal of info that I know about the past, present and future of Prowler. So what?! It's not information that I can reveal, nor will I...ever. If it is something I can pass along to this board, then I will and do at the appropriate time. I have no more to say on this subject. Thanks everyone for listening. ------------------ This message has been edited by CJ on 05-02-2001 at 03:24 PM |

CJ I believe that if DC wanted so called "Governmental encrypted information about future model colors they would not let some of their employees drive so called "vapor ware" vehicle around. From what I understand some Prowlers have been taken to some media outings already for pre-press coverage which has to be completed months before a new "release of anything". No one is asking you to reveal anything. To tell you the truth, any hype of anything new for DC is consider free press to the public. That is call media hype. They themselves leak their own information out for this type of hype. I remember when the PT was driving around and everyone said "what was that", then finally the press came in a did a story about a secret car that will take the public over by storm...free press...that is all. as far as this: "I know something you don't know" or "I'm going to tell so I can be the first one to reveal info and that way I look important"......whatever. I do not and will not play those kinds of games. Please.......I don't think so ------------------ This message has been edited by SasyMama on 05-02-2001 at 07:45 PM |

Sassy .. I will beat CJ to the punch here ... You are full of it ! Plain and simple, and sorry for all those of you trying to get your noses as far up her azz as far as possible, but really, this playing "both sides" has gone far enough ... Sassy, you in effect were pulling the "i know something you don't WITH CJ" in your post about "colors currently at CAAP from a very reliable souce". Now I ask you Sassy, if you have such a reliable source within DC, why would you describe the heat coming into the cockpit as a "design/engineering flaw" without checking with your DC contact first?!? This is only one (1) of several contradictions from posts you have made during your existance on this board. If others are "fine" with being blatantly "lied too", well then so be it ...., if, however, you wish to challenge THIS accusation, I will be forced quote from all yoour previous posts ... YOU have over stepped your bounds by your recent post, and CJ made her position as a DC employee quite clear ... yet you persist in your assault and your baiting her for confirmation of information ... yet I ask you this: WHY do you refuse to meet her and Carol when they are the REAL active POA members in the Michigan area ... and lets put aside this "surgery" issue too ... Come outr from behiond you curtain of mystrique and show your true self, or slink quitely into the shaddows where you can contribute and tease accordingly ... And to insulate myself from attacks from those you have hoo winked, let me close by saying: this is just my 2 cents .,.. ------------------ |

I really like to read the posts you folks have on this board. I am going to ask that we all stay friends and not get so upset with what we read on these boards. You folks don't know me and I don't know you, but we tend to judge and cause division. I consider all of you my friends. I am going to ask that everyone stop to think about how short life is and be thankful you are on this side of the grave and able to post on this board. SMILE, don't cut people or backbite. Words should not hurt but sometimes they do. I have gotten a lot of good info from all of you folks. Please drop the fussing and lets work to make this a better Prowler Board. You can not build anything better without input from others. Try posting without others to reply. You folks are special to me . Lets keep it friendly. OK |

PLEASE READ MY INITIAL POST, AS A FEW OF YOU ARE QUICK TO THE GUN HERE: "I saw a Gold Prowler on Woodward the other day. Anyone know who that is. It was a new one too." As far as me, OK here it is, I have battled cancer for 18 months and at this time my social acquaintance are on hold. Sasy, The longer you stay on the board, the more you'll understand the diversity of this group. I'm not going to attempt to justify anyone nor slam anyone for what they have said. You should know by now that there are PLENTY of people on this board that enjoy seeing your posts. I assure you, if someone decides they have it out for someone, and they voice it, the "group" will get behind the person being attacked. It ALWAYS happens. Trust in the comments you like, "attempt" to overlook the the ones you don't. hope to meet you one day, ------------------ |
