I posted this in "Events" section. Considering doing local event next year down here in New Orleans & Bayou country. If anyone has any interest please post in the events area... thanks,

"Karen & I just finished our annual visit to New Orleans Jazzfest. We went on Friday May 4th & had terrific time & saw Paul Simon, Wilson Pickett, Jambalaya Cajun band & host of others. Last week we also took a little ride to new racetrack opening up this summer down here in Bayou country. It will include drag strip & road course.

I'm considering hosting local event around Jazzfest next year 1st weekend in May 2002. It would be Three day event including some good eating.

one day - New Orleans Jazzfest. Link: http://www.insideneworleans.com/partners/nojazzfest/

one day - River road & Bayou Plantation cruise tour. Link to one of Plantations: http://www.oakalleyplantation.com/

one day - Day at race track - drag strip & 1.7 mile road course with 15 turns all in one place. Link: http://www.noproblemraceway.com/

If anyone has any interest, please post or send me email."

Laddie, I had never heard of the jazz fest until about 3 years ago (they don't let me out of the Home, much) but I really like that type of music and I would be interested. How was Paul Simon? I saw Simon & Garfunkel in Central Park from back stage. It was really cool.

Ed, Paul Simon had two hour set & was best performer that day. Aaron Neville (my favorite) joined him at the end of the set....
