I am considering buying a Prowler and was wondering what the differences were between '01 and '00. I know there were a lot of changes with the '00. Thanks for your help. |

Welcome to the board Docthayden! You are right, there were several changes from 99 to 00, but there are no appreciable changes from 00 to 01. Except color, of course!! Just find the color you want, the best price, and go for it!!! CJ |

Doc - just talked to a guy tonight who has driven a 01. Front shocks are new on '01, and he said the cat handles better on rough roads. He was impressed. ------------------

Having a 2000 and two 2001's.... The black 2000 smoothed out a lot around 6000 miles. The Orange 2001 is VERY rough in comparison and has 1300 miles now, and is a little faster then the 2000 black. Both of these have the Mac Motor Sports air filter and no other performance mods, and both were barely, but notably faster with the new air filter. The 2001 Black Tie is MUCH faster then either of these, and rides at 600 miles better then the black did at 6000 miles. The Black Tie also does not have the Mac Motorsports sir filter in; yet. ------------------ |

I forgot… the black draws a few people, the Orange a lot more, and most of these say they are “glad” to see an orange that is not the bright challenger orange (sorry Nyle)… but the Black Tie, now THAT one can stop traffic! ------------------ |

hehe Nyle... one day we'll put em side by side and see. Starflame... I have yet to meet ANY girl because of a Prowler (10,000 miles and 5 months of cruisin). Now if I was a girl meeting BOYS, man, what a car it would be for that. People love the car, but that does not mean they want to go home with you either. ------------------ |
