The "Yeller Cat" resides in Palm Beach County, Florida and I still don't understand how some of our residents can play & manage 10 or more Bingo cards at the same time but can't punch a single ballot card correctly! If you know the answer, please enlighten me. Jay |

Pirana, assuming fica at 1.45% many (not all) people who own exotic cars have 45% to 50%+ (if you include state tax plus fica) effective tax rates PLUS US citizens have to pay for insurance which Canadians don't have to do. IE. 39.6% highest fed rate + state tax of assumed 3%-5% plus 1.45% fica. Those in the upper US tax brackets have about the same effective tax rate than Canadian residents after you consider all taxes plus insurance plus expenses for glasses, dental, etc. Also, if you live in Canada for a number of years (dont know how many) you AUTOMATICALLY get a pension from the government of Canada (but you didn't ever have to work for the Candian government). Lastly, unless you have a Sub S or LLC, those in the upper US tax brackets have limitations on mortgage deductions based on the % of their AGI. All this is courtesy of Clinton. GO BUSH! For 2000, AGI over $288,350 is at 39.6%. From 161,450-$288,350 the marginal rate is at 36%. As a matter of fact, if you make $30M-$40M a year it is financially better to live in Canada because your medical, vision, and dental needs are provided for, and the welfare and disability benefits are much better than in the US.
