To answer your question about the seats being too low. Your drivers seat is not only adjustable forward and back but also up and down. The up and down is adjusted by using the handle on the left side of your seat. Forward adjusts the front and to the rear, adjusts the rear.

To answer your question about the seeming lack of power. Since you had enough forethought to purchase a 1997 model which will in some people's eyes, greatly appreciate in value, being that it was the first year of production. I am sure that you already know that the engine in the 1997 is less powerful and weighs more than aluminum block engine in the 99 and later models. This could be part of your feeling of little power.

In answer to what you describe as a rough ride. Please remember that you bought a performance car that will handle the curves with ease. I'm sure that you did all of your homework before buying your car and you undoubtedly took it for a test drive before you plunked down your money for something that you really did not like. This leads me to believe that just possibly the roads in NY are about as bad as the roads in Detroit. I hope not for your sake.

In answer to your questions about aftermarket products for your car. There are many companies making aftermarket parts. Many advertise not only on this site but also on the PPC website. Please contact them for more information.

In answer to your question about where to get an owners manual. I am 100% certain that you will be able to order one from ANY Daimler Chrysler dealer at minimal cost.
