Garbagman is a classic, did you see his/her profile, occupation-homeowner there ain't nothing real about this person I can smell it a mile away. From the private emails I'm getting other POA members feel the same. See ya at the GC in my fast smooth ridin model

Fatman-I bounce back and forth also, but claim no allegiance to either site, and do appreciate what either can offer. It's obvious though that since POA was originated, that response on PPC has dwindled. Too bad, as all I'm really looking for is the betterment of all connected to our car, and the loss of an information port would be a loss to us all.-my opinion-AL [This message has been edited by butchcee (edited 10-22-2000).] |

Measures have been taken. It is obvious it was a flamer. Precautions have been taken to lessen the accidental privilege to post on the Board. |

Well I don't know, maybe we should let flakes enter site. In two hours, he fired up lots of action and made some venting possible. He may even win this week's t-shirt contest! Wish I was on when he was posting - rained here in Phx just as weekly car show was to start, and I needed to unload on somebody who would make the kind of comments that this person did. Seems to me that they posted just to piss somebody off. Was watching the NY-NY game, and missed the action. |

quote: FatMan, My feelings are that instead of just telling and idiot to "go to H3ll", sometimes it is better to draw them a map and point them in the right direction. As to my flipping back and forth on the PPC and POA sites. I have NEVER done that. Since I resigned my position as a state director for the PPC on Independance Day of this year, I have posted only one time on the PPC board. I feel that if I do not contribute, it is only fair that I should not use the site. I have always, and in the future, will continue to try to help anyone that asks a question that are connected to the enjoyment of the Prowler Experience. My time is too important to me to waste it with this PPC vs. POA stuff. Anyone who questions my allegiance or motives has little concept of my background. Thanks for your time and please be sure to check out the PPC website when you get a chance.. |

Larry, you did right to assume that Garbag was legit and to respond to his questions point by point! Everyone deserves the benefit of the doubt.. even though I THINK that he was ILligit! Very nice response, informative and tactful. After a while and after attempts to be helpful and cordial, we eventually have to write him off, if he continues his caustic ways. I am not a "mechanical oriented" person so I treat everyone who has posted with respect because I have found virtually everyone to be helpful, polite, and fun! ------------------ |

Thanks Carl, I actually assumed that he was not legit but I felt it better answer his questions in an informative manner than to start problems. Many others read the forum and may have some of the same questions so it didn't do any harm to post some answers just in case he was for real. |

Carl - You are absolutely right! We should first try to answer everyones questions politely, as they may be real. I got on late last night after the fact, but when I read where he asked Muz (Quicksilver) if he had mental problems, my crap got HOT! A new visiter to a site who wants information about car, doesn't ask if you have mental problems. If I was on then, I'd probably blown him off the website for good. Our good people deserve respect, not crap rubbed in their face, and Larry Lord did the right thing with this guy. And pointing him elsewhere, was a plus for us! ------------------ |

Not to add more salt to the wound but, eBay had a 97 Purple with 350 miles on it for $37K a week or two ago. They also said it was one of the first 100 lot so, it was completely hand built (or so they were touting). I find it hard to believe that someone would pay $55K (now) for a high mileage one without doing homework and finding out what it is worth and/or making sure it came with everything. |
