The bumpers on the Candy I purchased look like they were possibly brushed against a white Garage Door. So there is some white paint on them. Anyone have a way that they remove contaminants and/paint from the plastic bumpers on the Prowler?

Thank You,

John

Remove the bumpers and there will be no need to worry about the scrape marks...

I once lightly brushed a yellow concrete pole with my truck. I removed the yellow paint using a clay bar.

Good idea - I can see where the Clay Bar would work. I've started with WD 40 as suggested. Also read, spray on WD40, wrap with Cellophane to allow complete softening of the paint, then go back and wipe down. Will try that. Another question, what do you "polish" or treat your later model (not the Grey ones) bumpers with? I have 303 which works well on other stuff. There are many products out there to treat dark plastic. Which has been found to create a uniform look on these big pieces of plastic?

Thanks,

John

Try a magic eraser & WD40. Naphtha will work or isopropyl alcohol 91%. Higher % might damage plastics & lower % is too weak.

For black bumpers I use 'Back to Black' by Meguire.

Thank you all - The magic Eraser was able to remove 98% of the paint. I used some Meguires Gel on them afterwards and they appear to look very very good for now, I'll check later to see how the gel took to the bumpers, if it sunk in etc. I am not sure that the Bumpers on this car were ever cleaned. Getting the old, dried bugs off of them took work as well. Look Great now. Thank you!

John
