I bought some wet okole in neoprene but they make you a " wetback" as much as the leather seats do! So ,what do you have and do they keep you dry? This message has been edited by mslc10 on 10-21-2015 at 03:16 PM |

Type sheep skin into your browser. Google sheep skin seat covers and something in your area should pop up. Here is a place that carries different models. You might not want the woolly Namath model lol http://www.sheepskinstuff.com/Sheepskin_Seat_Covers_s/1817.htm |

The Prowler seats don't breathe at all! I have always hated that but I have been too lazy to do anything about it. I bought a set of foam inserts (made by Real Rod?) with the plan of having a custom set of seat covers made many years ago but I haven't done anything with them. Based on Steve's post about CoverKing seat covers I went to their site to browse around. I was surprised to see that they have the 1997 Prowler in their system. I didn't want sheepskin, so based on their "best" rating for breathability I bought a set of "Spacer Mesh" in black tonight for just over $150 with free shipping and a current sale of 12% off. I'll post my opinion when they arrive. Dave |

The CoverKing "spacer mesh" seat covers that I ordered arrived a few days ago. The material is approximately 1/8" thick and looks like it will breathe quite well. I haven't installed the covers yet, but they are really nice quality and look like they will fit perfectly. I'll post pictures this weekend after they are installed. |

Thanks for the help, Robin! :-) You can get the covers custom made for the Prowler in many different materials. I went with the "spacer mesh" because they ranked it highest in breathability. They also happen to be one of the cheaper options. You can go with velour, other types of neoprene, several suede and leather options and something called Snuggleplush. All custom made for your car for $150-$400. This is the chart that I used to compare the options: |
