Need some help.
Last night I ran over something and scratched the side of the car just in front of the rear tire.
I remember seeing on the website about a product you can ues with touch up paint to smooth it out.
Can someone help?
Thanks
Ron

We've heard the "con". Here's some "pro" from searching for the term "Langka".

I followed the instructions and the chips totally, and I mean totally disappeared. I dared someone to find them and they couldn't.
Super Stuff!!! I am sold. Can't wait for another chip.

I found California gold paint chip repair from mothers car polishes, my thought was I’ll try anything. The result, the best 10.00 I ever spent if used as directed the chip is virtually unseen it works GREAT. Now the product is brand new so somewhat hard to find, check with mother web site for dealer’s http://www.mothers.com/products/products.html.

I give this product [Mothers] a A+, bought it today and used it on my Tahoe. I had touched up a chip awhile ago using the brush that comes with the touch up paint, those brushes are just too big and do leave a blob. It took two applications doing it 30 seconds each time and the results are great. This will probably be the best $10 you'll ever spend on your Prowler.

Love this stuff [Langka]. It works great on touch ups. Blends it in and you can't even see it afterward. Used it on my daughter's PT also where the previous owner had touched up a chip and let the paint run - took it right off and you can't even see the chip now. Took some elbow grease since it had been on there for quite some time and baked in the sun, but worked great! Highly recommend it! Tami

After recently purchasing and using the Langka product, when I purchase again, I am going with the Mother's brand. I had no problems with the Langka product and feel it did the job, but for half the price, my feeling is that the Mother's product would work just as well.

Personally, I have had mixed results. Prowler yellow is very translucent and requires multiple application cycles. I have had better success on dark colors (PT purple, for instance) where only one application is necessary.

From researching this on several boards, the success factors seem to be:

- Cure time. Runs from half-hour to 3 days depending upon the touch-up paint used.

- Cleanliness. Repair area needs to be clean, such as alcohol spot-cleaning to remove waxes, etc.

- Clearcoat. Some paints are fine, some need clearcoat over them, some will work with clearcoat mixed with the paint.

- Practice. Develop a technique that works, and this may vary from car to car.

My point is, Langka or Mothers is worth trying. It seems to be a love-or-hate relationship, just look at the above.
