I saved 2 years for this, each time I came close something came up. I know its not for some, and I can live with that. And the pictures do not do it justice. But had the car painted Specta Flair Radiant Silver by Industrial Body Shop in SF California. Kevin Watson, fellow Cat owner, and owner of the body shop did the job. Excellent work. Well worth the wait, (well, maybe,,LoL) I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy about it. Here are some pics. They had a professional photographer take pics at the shop when I picked it up yesterday, and going to take more next week when the sun is right. These are just pics from my digital cam. It does not pic up all the colors, car is really a gas.. Tuesday having it pin stripped some. Minor.. I love it, hope you all like it too. But I do and that's what counts, LoL From my driveway I have a ton of pics, none of them really show the car good. I hope the pro's come out better, I get them next week. More to come, in chrome.. ------------------ This message has been edited by jd2ksilver on 08-09-2003 at 03:40 PM |

I just want to add that I can't thank Bob and CJ enough for all thier help in getting this done over the years. They both have gone more than a little out of their way to help with info on the paint, and support. Thank you both, very very much. ------------------ |

hey jd......I can only imagine how gorgeous this car looks in person. From what I see in the pictures, it's a show stopper. I know Kevin and how meticulous he is ~ does fabulous work. Most important, glad you're so pleased with the outcome...you have waited a long time. Congrats on having a dream become reality. Debbie |

WOW, your car looks great John! You're right the Spectraflair really has to be seen in person and in bright sunlight to appreciate the cool rainbow effect. The Prowler with its sweeping curves is really the perfect canvas for the paint. Congratulations! |

Once again I need to add a bit. Patty is my real baby, . She may not know it sometimes, but the car comes second to her. And, she actually gave me a large portion of the money, as a gift she saved up for, but times were tough, and we had to use it for necessities. I knew then I would find a way to accept her gift in the true spirt for which it was given. I love you sweetie. This message has been edited by jd2ksilver on 08-09-2003 at 09:09 PM |

Hey Marty, hard to get the bar higher than yours, and (?) motor,,, I have seen the Ram Rod, Kenny Bells supercharged Ram pickup with this paint, about 3 months ago, and I was concerned it looked bland. Mine seems to pull more colors out, (maybe I'm prejudice, LoL). Anyway, when I saw the pickup I thought I may have to have some graphics/flames, but now I have my car, just some subtle pin striping is the answer. Time for a new banner Dan????? ------------------ |

WOW! Looks like you and Scott have been busy. No wonder you couldn't meet us this past weekend at Tahoe. John, looks like you may have cost me a few fishing trips. Wonder what it would look like in purple? Scott's work on the fender mount is incredible. Now, if we can only keep our cars together and on the road long enough to hook up someday. Oh and Patty, John is awful lucky. ------------------ |

Thanks Chris, and thanks everyone for the comments. I want to put 3M tape like before for the rock guards on the rear fenders but I have to wait 2 weeks for paint to cure. I had it pin stripped yesterday, and need to wait 2 weeks to wax over it. Driving careful for now. The lines in the Silver Bullet are guides and we washed them out later. The painter, Real Ralph out of Aptos, CA, a great artist. Sorry for all the pics folks, I'm just pretty proud of how it all turned out.
