I'm having my machinist remake stock side panels without the light, and with the same basic hole that TGF has... The "new" bit is that, being out of the stock ones, they will be aluminum, which means the side strip can be chromed, they won't crack like fibreglass will, and, if your doing a custom paint, you can do a rubberized paint job on the side panels and other aluminum parts that you cannot on fibreglass, which means less rock chips. I don't have any pricing yet... but if other's are interested, or, if you want your stock side panels made into something custome... now is the time. These are spare panels... so all my guys need to know is what you want made, and they can make it up on my spare sets, and then trade for your originals plus the cost of the work. Let me know... and I'll keep people posted about the price and results. These guys are VERY good, and fairly reasonable (not cheap, but quality)

Todd, here's what I want to know...can your guy hook up the flamethrowers to the holes in the side panels?

I'm tired of people crowding over into my lane to get a better view of my car, and I'm thinking that might do the trick...

Group purchase, maybe????

Mopar, fibreglass tends to crack in time... especially with the way these are mounted. It might take a week and it might take a few years... Don, I'm sure if you want to spend the $ my guys will hook you up

Todd, thanks for the offer to hook me up with your fabricator, but now that I have read the post under the "Flamethrowers" topic, about the South African product that throws a ball of flame 6 feet high all around the car, I'm gonna hold out for that!!!

Then I can get the tailgaters, lane wanderers, and any stray dogs or children that happen to be nearby...

Solves a world o' problems...

Moparmania and to all,

I have never had any TGF Engine Side Panels crack "just because they are manufactured out of fiberglass" over any time frame! In fact I have never had any of my parts crack "just because" for any reason. If a product is made properly and of high quality materials, it should not fall apart for any reason no matter what. Products fail because of poor design or quality of manufacturing with cheap materials. Our products are hand laid, high temp epoxy parts. We do not use the "chopper gun" style of spraying out the fiberglass into the molds, which is the inexpensive/cheap way of manufacturing a product that does not have the same quality.

Metalcrafters has been manufacturing our hand laid aftermarket products for Vipers for over 8 years, some installed on Vipers that are raced and I have never received a customer complaint due to manufacturing failure. We have also been selling our Prowler product line for 3 years now and don't have any failure issues either. I would love to hear from anyone that has had our engine side panels fail, but to date, we have been successful.

Norb, as far as I can tell, all of your products are made to the highest standards and I cannot see that this would be an issue at all.

Great products!

Speaking of Viper - have you got anything coming for the SRT's

Norb, I did not intend to say anything "bad" about your panels... but fibre glass tends to not last over years... but years I do mean quite a lot, not one or two. Keep up the good work making Prowler Products!

on older vets do not confuse cracking paint and gelcoat as cracking fiberglass. One of the problems with older vets and restored units, is that they use a lacquer based product to do the paint. Lacquer gets very hard and not flex with the weather. FIberglass is very responsive to the weather it expands and contracts, the hard paint can only take that for so long before it cracks. If you strip the paint off, most times the glass is still intact and fine. Today with a good gelcoat applied properly and then using a basecoat with a urethane clear which remains flexible and moves with the substrate you should get many trouble free years out of your glass with no paint or glass problems Heck I used to play hockey professionally and my masks were and still are made out of fiberglass resins, and they dont crack from 100 mph slaph shots
