Kal completed all the Custom Painted Mopar Bras about two weeks ago... All seven Bras are in the hands of their owners and here are a few pics of the Custom work by Kal... All the Bras were painted on the Prowler. He used my Prowler as the plug & took almost three weeeks to get all seven done... Kal is some artist & craftsman.... Wayne's Candy Red...
Marc's on Al's Purple (until Marc gets his Kat back from Dean) Jim E.'s Mulholland Blue
Larry H.'s Yellow
Al's with some additional graphics added to the 1&1/2 year old Bra...

I agree with the others all are very very nice, but the flags are awesome. Just out of curiousity and assuming I can find a Mopar Bra, how much to paint one solid purple? Can you also ask if enamel paint will stick. What I am thinking is have the Bra painted the car color and then having my Pin Stripe guy add the stripes to match what is on my car. That way either with or without the bra it will look the same. Thanks ------------------ |

For some reason I can't get the pic of Larry H.'s bra to post... So, I'll post one of his Flamed Yellow Bra on another yellow Kat just for picture taking... By the way the Blue on this is dynamite (in pictures it looks very close to the High Voltage Blue). It has lots of pearl & is very bright...
The price was $1,000 for doing five or more at one time... The Prowler was taped one time & used for painting all seven bras (six new & one mod)... Rich, the price Kal had given for painting the Mopar Bra the color of the Kat was $500. He hand paints a pin stripe on all these bras (not sure of the type paint). The answer is Yes some type of paint will work for the pin stripe once the base is painted on the Bra... As far as getting more Bras, I'm working on something just in case DC doesn't authorize more from the mfg. |

Laddie, I like yours the best. Your headlight looks like the eye of a bald eagle. I like the other flag and the one on the Deep Candy Red as a tie for second. The radical stuff is not for me but I am sure others will like it the most. They all look good. ------------------ |

Laddie I was wondering if there was going to be another session any time soon when we could get our bra's painted like yours seeing how some of us missed sending ours in for this painting session.I realize that your cat has to be tied up during this time to paint these bra's.Just don't want to miss the next time.thanks Charlie Lein Black Tie #128 |

Charlie. Welcome to the POA... Yes, there will be more "Hot Bras By Kal" ... We just need more Mopar Stock Black Bras... Right now we're waiting on the final Chrysler decision to authorize more Mopar Bras by the vendor... Than, it will be a matter of scheduling with Kal... I've had seven more Prowler owners send me notes asking to be put on the next waiting list.... ------------------ |

Laddie, can you comment on the expected lifespan of the paint on these bras once they've been painted? How long will they "hold up" against the elements and fading? ------------------ |

Paul. The painted Bra has held up very well. I've had mine on my Prowler over 2 & 1/2 years & 14,000+ miles... Stays on the Kat 99% of the time... I only take it off when it gets wet. It's been through lots of rain & dirty roads down here... I use Pledge to give it a little shine/sheen & it seems to prevent bugs from sticking to the Bra... The only place you get any rubbing is where the two Bras clamp down on each other (the hood piece on top of the body piece). However, with the hood close you don't see this... This area rubs whether the Bra was painted or not painted... Mine still looks very good, and I ahve not done any touch-up to it. AL has had his for 1 & 1/2 years & looks great. I have many more miles on mine than Al's. And, your Kat draws a lot more attention. So, that could be a downside... I was at the Treasure Chest car show yesterday & took this picture of Ms. Treasure Chest (and current Ms. Louisiana). She thought it was very patriotic. I thought "it takes a Bra to know a Bra"...

Laddie, let me know if and when there is going to be another opportunity. I have 2 Mopar bras in the box that I just got from the dealer 3 weeks ago. I am planning on using one to cruise to Churchhill Downs but the other is staying in the box and ready to be shipped. thanks Bob ------------------ |
