I don’t think I’m doing anything earth shattering here. After all, I think
I saw some kind of black cover for the side markers on a few cats when I was
down at Louisville. But I liked the way this turned out so much, I thought
I would share. I used the black out paint over the cat decals I got on the
Louisville trip and came up with this.

By day …

By night ...

Now that is real nice. I have been trying to think of something to do with those side markers. Where did you find the decals? I'm also curious as to how you painted them without messing up the decals.

Really cool. We removed the zits totally with a one-off black cover flush with the panel made from leftovers of the TGF rear valance conversion. The orange cat glowing in synchrony with the blinker lights is an awesome alternative.

Looks great. I assume you used NiteShades paint (jegs.com $6.95) for the paint?? I never thought to use one of the decals for masking, then peal off. Cool idea. I put one of the chrome decalsover the marker after sprying it.

The night photo of yours looks sharp!

Marty (^above^) actually provided the decals with the Louisville welcome package. I just put the decal on. Sprayed with the NiteShades. Took the decal off carefully. The by day picture has the color a little off. It's the yellow showing through, not the orange. It may have been a little late in the day to get the best color. Hope that helps.

I made them in our graphics department at work. I still a few etched glass decals and a few chrome ones. First come first served. I need addresses. Limit two (so more people) can receive some.

still looking to receive addresses.

Kendra - I will happy to send the chrome kat decals. They are only 4 1/2 inches long however. I would suggest you take your owners manual to a Fast Sign Shop, have them scan it and produce chrome decals 12 to 14 " long. These will stand out much better on the door panel inserts.

Don't see it in my inbox. If you send it again, I guarantee I will get both of them. That's just a law of cyberspace.

WOW - the power of one post on POA. I have received over a dozen emails requesting decals. As of now - Thursday - I have mailed decals to everyone that has requested them.

Sorry - but I am now out. If I make more I will post. For anyone that wants decals of any size/color, most Fast Sign stores can scan the logo and/or text from your Owner's Manual cover and produce decals for you.

If you want cat or Prowler logo's in various sizes, try www.StreamlineDesign.com. Rich made some for me, and has added it to his product line. Great quality and reasonably priced. Give his site a look.
