We all have experienced paint chips on our cats and other cars, while touch up paint is good it some times leaves a bubble if excess paint. I’ve tried all sorts of methods, such as rubbing compound, 3000 grit wet sandpaper (this method is guaranteed to rune the clear coat on any factory paint). I found California gold paint chip repair from mothers car polishes, my though was I’ll try anything. The result, the best 10.00 I ever spent if used as directed the chip is virtually unseen it works GREAT. Now the product is brand new so somewhat hard to find, check with mother web site for dealer’s http://www.mothers.com/products/products.html. |

T/W88 - Thanks for the tip. Last touch-up paint chip repair came out like crap. I'll try it next time. ------------------ |

I give this product a A+, bought it today and used it on my Tahoe. I had touched up a chip awhile ago using the brush that comes with the touch up paint, those brushes are just too big and do leave a blob. Usually I use a art brush that only has about 1/4 or less of the hairs the touch paint bottle brush has, fill in the chip with just enough color paint to hide the primer and top coat with clear. Back to the repair on the Tahoe, it took two applications doing it 30 seconds each time and the results are great. This will probably be the best $10 you'll ever spend on your Prowler, here's what the package looks like. |

Guys, 1000 miles on the car, I drive carefully, put the flaps on and go to clean it yesterday and find a Small chip on the right front fender. I have an Orange Pearlcoat car.... does this stuff work on metal flake paint ? How does it match ? Do I need to buy touch up paint from Chrysler too ? Wonder if they even make it for Orange..... Thanks a bunch for the assistance. John |

John, you will need to buy the touch up paint, the repair kit only smoothes out the repair area. |

Called all around to find the paint chip repair kit and was not able to find it. Called the company and ordered it by phone. They are trying to get it out to the stores in the near future. I let everyone know how it works when I try it. ------------------ |
