Weezy, so you went with the Toyo Proxes STII in the rear and Toyo Extensa HP's in the front? They look really good. The tread is a fairly close match. If possible, could you provide a pic or two of the sidewalls with the car, too? Thanks!

Yes, I chose them because of the tread pattern and of course, no problem! Here you go with the side views. Hope it helps This message has been edited by Weezy on 04-19-2014 at 11:21 AM |

How were they priced? When I buy something how well I like it depends on the price. I too looked at finding tires that looked similar and I wan't crazy about the Falken but at the price they were sold for and they did match it was a compromise. Some tires or just rock chuckers. LOL |

From earlier in the post: Bought them online at TiresDirect.Net - total cost delivered $676.83 with Road Hazard Protection. I bought 2 sets of Goodyear runflats when I first got the Cat. LOTS OF MONEY for those. These are a lot of tire for $676.83. |

Ed's, I agree! How much did Discount end up charging you for install? |

Yeah. I priced out the Falkens at my local Discount Tire a few days ago. The rep told me they're a very good tire. ...but I want to weigh all my options. |

I have a set of Falkens and I would say the only down side is the tread pattern, which could be described as bland. As to ride quality and handeling, I am very pleased. |

Discount Tire charged me about $145 for install, balance, etc. They also swapped out my TPM Sensors that were banded to the center of the wheels. I've had several sets of tires put on my vehicles there - 3 sets on the Cat. I've always been very satisfied with their work, prices and attitudes. |

I agree Eds. My experience with them was also top notch. The sales rep Rich was genuinely concerned about my car receiving extra special attention so as not to damage the wheel caps or the wheels themselves. I had to wait nearly two hours for the service but did so in order for his top techs to do the work (they were on other cars when I came in). Very happy with them |

Here are the tires on my Cat. Time will tell how they last over the long haul. I like'em so far! |

Took Weezy's advice and got the Toyo Proxes STII in the rear and Toyo Extensa HP's in the front. Went to Discount Tire where they price matched an online retailer. I still had OEM front tires and 10yr old rear tires. They had a heck of a time peeling the front tires off the rims. Love the new Tires. |

Glad you like 'em and hope I helped. They're definitely better and a LOT less jarring than the originals. My mirrors don't shake quite as much now and I like the tread on them. I still want a softer ride though.. will be looking at the Wonder Bar next |

Just a quick update on the ride. So far, I have no regrets getting the Toyo tires. I was concerned that the rears might not be flexible enough, but the ride is exceptionally smooth. |
