Looks like Gordon Karns and I are going to split a half case of purple and a half case of orange. Since we live close you can ship the cases to either one of us and we can divide them up when they get here. |

I've checked all of the various posts regarding this group purchase and consolidated the results at the head of this post. Please check the list to ensure that I have your order properly listed. I thank everyone for their ideas and work to make sure that we met the purple minimum quantity. This offer will remain open until February first. The order will go to Maisto at that time. With production and shipping our cars should be ready in late April. I will let everyone know when to submit payment. |

UPDATED INFORMATION: Maisto has finally drawn the line on their demands for this year's purchase. They never moderated their position from mid-December. They are demanding another 10% premium for Prowler orange and a minimum purchase of 15,000 cars or 209 cases. That was their demand last year for the deep candy red. We were advised that they would accept a lower minimum this year after they raised their price significantly. Today we have 100 cases of orange committed for. I don't believe that we can meet their demand let along an additional $4.50 per case. We have exceeded the minimum requirement for both purple and yellow. Those purchases will proceed the first week of February as planned. The question then becomes, what do we do about orange? We could simply not place that portion of the order giving everyone that wanted orange an opportunity to select purple or yellow. We could also substitute an existing color such as: black, Prowler red, silver, gold, blue or deep candy red as long as we order 70 cases of an existing color. I'm proposing two choices. If you're interested in the same quantity, pick purple or yellow before we order in early February or Prowler red if we can get 70 cases. As these cars are for younger children, most kids like bright colors. Prowler red would fit that criteria like yellow. Now, let's hear what you have to suggest. I will add this at the end of this post and under General for all to see. I will also start sending PM's or emails to all that expressed an interest in orange. I'm very sorry but have not have any success with Maisto to date. They do exactly what they want to do. Forget about honoring their commitments. |

Okay, okay. I lost my mind on this year's group purchase. Maisto pushed me over the edge. Yeah, I was standing on it, but they pushed. I've slept on the problem for a couple of days, something that I should have done in the first place. I've read all of the posts. Here's what I'm going to do. The yellow and purple orders will remain open until February first. The price is as stated, $62 delivered in the lower 48 states and $48 either picked up from my house or $48 plus actual shipping to anywhere else. I will not solicite orders for red at this time. Its purple or yellow or wait. I have been planning to make one purchase per year rotating through the colors as they were offered. I will keep a seperate running list of all that expressed an interest in orange. When we get near the 209 case minimum, I'll will contact everyone to verify that they are still interested. I will also confirm the pricing. Today, pricing would be $66.50 per case delivered to the lower 48 states and $52.50 picked up from my house or $52.50 plus actual shipping anywhere else. I will edit my post with the master list and establish a new post offering the orange cars along with a running list. I will contact everyone to comfirm their intentions toward this purchase of purple and yellow asking if they want to wait for the orange, cancel or switch all or part of their orange order to another color. I have no idea how long that we will need to hold the order open for orange but for now it will be an open date. |

I have carefully reviewed all of the orders that I believe have been submitted for purple and yellow cars. Take a moment and make sure I reflect your order correctly at the beginning of this post. There is one week remaining to order purple or yellow. the order goes to Maisto on February first. LAST CALL |

Final day to submit or change your order for purple or yellow cars. Tomorrow the order goes to Maisto. The cars will arrive in late April. I'll advise everyone of the total due and request payment when I know that the cars are in transit. I will continue to accept orders for cases of orange cars and post a closing date when it looks like we are close to hitting our minimum purchase requirement. Thanks everyone for participating. These cars never fail to put a big smile on the face of the child receiving one. |
