I bought Mike Caruso's yellow Prowler from him quite a few years ago. And I love it.

I wish he had been selling the Candy one though at the time.

He has recently decided to sell. Said he had a really good offer a couple of years ago but wasn't ready. Is now, I guess. He contacted me a few days ago and I've been trying to help him put an ad up.

What I do with my old gas is burn it in the daily driver. The issue is sitting. Once in awhile the daily driver will idle rough until the gas has been run through. Keep the driver clean by running Lucas injector cleaner through it periodically. Probably not the best thing for the convertor.

So Bob are you saying the old gas is hard on convertor or the Lucus fuel treatments?

I was planning on putting some in my dd since my gas mileage has dropped some and thought it might clean the system up.

Larry, Gasoline has a shelf life. They sell different blends during the year. Most gas sold today has 10% ethanol. E10 has a shorter shelf life that pure gasoline plus has a high affinity for water. In newer cars with plastic fuel tanks and closed fuel systems it isn't as big an issue as older cars with vented metal tanks, rubber hoses, carburetor float bowls and rubber fuel pump diaphragms.

Because the gas is in and out in a short period of time in a daily driver it's used up quickly. I use the Lucas cleaner in our daily drivers when I notice that idle quality has deteriorated, typically 6K to 10K miles.

Hope that this helps.
