Hello, my name is Jonathan Smith and this is my first post on this forum. I, like most members on this forum are really into their cats. I share the passion of big cats, just with a different breed of cat, Jaguars. I have been visiting this site for a few days to read up on the Prowler and wanted to follow the forum rules about posting in the classified. I understand that the forum would be more excepting to a green pea new member if they got to know them a little before posting in the classified. So here we go...
I have been selling Jaguars for 10 years in Indianapolis. I am very passionate about all thing automotive and that is what lead me to this site. Once in a while, I get to see the most amazing vehicles come and go and the most recent one made my heart stop. We had a customer trade in a 2001 Chrysler Prowler, Midnight Blue with Agate interior. What made my jaw drop is the fact that it had only 1,216 miles on it! Searching different sites showed that this was one of the lowest mileage 2001 Prowlers for sale in the country. I wanted to get the word out to the Prowler community that this vehicle is available. I have attached a link so you can see several pictures and read the carfax history report.
http://www.tomwoodjaguar.com/used/Chrysler/2001-Chrysler-Prowler-e81b5c41 0a0a0065005fe91ad51f6045.htm

Please let me know if you have any questions. I want to make sure that I am doing things correctly on this forum and open to any advise, both good and bad. Thanks again!

I think you are doing things right. You introduced yourself, gave a little background about what you do and completely up-front about why you are here.

Just remember, you are talking to the experts here (not me). Your car is not the lowest mileage cat for sale in the country. They quite often come up for sale with that kind of mileage or lower. Most cats are low mileage cars. And many beleive that real low mileage is not necessarily a good thing.

But you have a nice car there and it is priced OK. Good luck with your sale!

Thanks for the kind welcome. I edited my original post to reflect that it is a low mileage 2001 Prowler. There are lower mileage cats out there. Sometimes the excitment overcomes me when describing a vehicle. Sorry for the boisterous claim. I understand the lower mileage thing not always being the best. Proper maintenance, storage, and overall care of the vehicle makes all the difference in the world.

Welcome. Beachkat is right, there are people on the forum that are experts in everything Prowler. In case you didn't know, you have a Mulholland Edition there. About 1300 of these were built, and were named after the street in Los Angeles. The cool thing about these cars is that they were the only Prowlers with a top that was not black. The blue top and paint make those very sharp.
Ultra-low mileage cars are not that uncommon in the Prowler community. Mine sat in a warehouse for 10 years before I bought it. Good luck with the sale. Nice car.

Thanks for the info on the Mulholland edition. I will be sure to update the description to include this. Is there any way to identify what number out of 1300 this on is? Is that even important in the Prowler community?

There is no way to determine which car number you have.
The VIN were not sequential, they were shared with VIPERS at the same plant.
Yet, some Prowler owners still think they have a certain number and think it is important.

You might want to post the condition of the inside of the wheels. A lot of the "barrels" have peeling problems.

As with anything for sale, there is an asking price and there is a selling price. Offers welcome!

So what was the sale price? As some of us know a Prowler not being driven much i would be concerned about the Tires, Belts, Hoses and gaskets being dry rotted. Any thoughts?

It would only take one or two snide remarks to run a newbe away. I hope he does let us know when he has another Prowler to sell. What is so wrong about letting us know? Maybe it is just what one of us is looking for.

Rick that is a great opinion.

As for me... I would like to know what is available to buy even if the seller doesn't know much about a Prowler. The person we are discussing, first posted to introduce himself and expressed his desire to abide by the site rules. He could be a good contact if anyone is looking for any another vehicle. There are a few car dealers that regularly visit this site let us know what they have available.

My opinion is that you can't have too many friends in this crazy car nut family we live in. I hope Jonathan will come back and visit us. Maybe my opinion is not like everybody else, but it is JMO.

EDIT>>> I should have copied your post before you changed it to something totally different.

Guys and Gals,

I'm still here. I'm sure that the new owner will find his way to this site as I told him about it. I will not disclose what the Prowler sold for as I do not know if the new owner wants that information out there. If he does, he can say. Let's just say that both parties got what they wanted in the deal. I thank everyone for their kindness and information to help sell this Prowler. I did not take any offense to any comment posted and I am truly appreciative for all of the knowledge and quick replies I received. This community is awesome and I intend to keep lurking here. You never know, I might end up with the cat scratch fever and have to own a Prowler in the future. If I can be of any assistance to anyone on this board, whether your traveling through Indianapolis, looking for a specific vehicle to purchase, or need help with anything Jaguar related, I would be happy to help in any way I can.

Thanks again!!

There are salesmen, and then there are salesmen

It appears that this is one of the salesmen. He seemed to have a good demeanor as well as integrity and a good sense of ethics. I expect this is the type of individual I would want to deal with should I have the need. It is refreshing and encouraging to see this still exists these days.
