Ed, you will be leading the pack, right? Seems like the rest of us have troubles with getting lost and making U-turns. I don't know how that happens when there is only one road in the Keys, but....

Schedule of events:

Wed night:
BBQ at Tom Miles Shop @ 6PM. 7598 Jack James Dr, Stuart, FL

Thursday:
Meet at Tom's shop at 9AM. From there we will travel to see a private Car Collection (Wilson Collection) and then on to lunch and a tour of the Jupiter Lighthouse. Dinner at 7PM.

Friday:
Meet again at Tom's shop at 9AM. From there we will be heading south towards the Keys. We will make a stop at the Miccosukee Indian Casino (500 SW 177th ST, Miami, FL) for a rest break including lunch. From there we will stop in Homestead at the Homestead Town Hall Museum. After that stop we will continue on to the Keys, getting gas just before the Overseas Hwy begins. Those who wish can stop at Robbies (MM 77.5) on the way to Marathon to feed the tarpon or just stretch. Dinner will be at 7PM at the Key Colony Inn as in past events.

Saturday:
We will get going about 10AM for the 45 minute cruisin' ride to key West, ending up at the parking garage at 300 Grinnell St. Parking is 413 for the day.

The day is yours to enjoy all that Key West offers. If this is your first time to the Island, I suggest the trolley tour, very informative and it will lay out the Island for you. The trolley stop is 1/2 block from the parking garage.

We will all meet at Mallory Square (pier)for sunset. Right after sunset we all can walk back to the cars and head out for dinner at another favorite of ours, The Rusty Anchor. After dinner, you can either go back to the hotel or back to the Big Island for fun and frolic.

Sunday:
Breakfast and goodbyes for another fantastic Prowlin' Event!

I received an email this morning informing me that Ramone (owner of the rusty nail in key west) has passed away. I am not sure of if/how this may affect the operation of the restaurant. Wally/Greg may want to check into this..

Ramone was a prowler owner and a good guy who always treated the prowlers guys/gals great...he will be missed.

The Rusty Anchor restaurant is open and we have a reservation for Saturday night. When I spoke with them the other day I did not ask about Ramone.

I am looking for alternative dining for Friday night as the Key Colony Inn wants $50/person for our group. Many of us were not so happy with what they offered last time we ate there. Choices are kind of limited in Marathon but I am trying....

The Sunset Bar and Grill in Marathon was a pretty nice place to eat and have a drink or 3. Wanda and I really enjoyed the atmosphere.

Anyone who will be in the vicinity of Port Charlotte/Punta Gorda is welcome to join us for the run to Stuart on Wednesday, Nov 4 to meet up with early arrivals and for Tom Miles' barbecue.
Our meeting place will be at Cracker Barrel on Kings Highway and I-75 in Port Charlotte for breakfast at 9 AM. Departure for Stuart will be approx. 10 AM.

I have never been there but checking it out online, it seems like a good alternative restaurant with reasonable prices.

To Help you find Tom's Shop a little easier, Tom will put a Checkered Flag out at the road (Jack James Dr) where you will turn into his driveway. The address again is: 7598 Jack James Dr. Stuart, Fl.

Yes, that is what I am looking at now. I am currently down in the Keys having some (Fantasy Fest) fun and trying to finish up our plans.
