Wow, what an incredible weekend!!!!! Thanks Jeff for the hard work you put in to making this event. Thanks Tammy and Gary for your hospitality. Good food, good fun, great people, beautiful weather, a camp fire and PROWLERS too!!!! What else could one ask for??? Bob Miller thanks for offering your hospitality to me on Friday... Sorry I had more than your driveway could hold ( lol). AND thanks for putting the DC caravan together. It was great to see old friends and meeting all of you new "East Coast Posse" members. All I can say.... is if you weren't corrupt before....you certainly will be now as part of this group!!! (lol) We heard rumers of rain for the weekend...but we could not have asked for more beautiful weather. NOW, as for the cars that were unvailed..... Gene and Gary's Kat mods and workmanship were superb!!!! Gary now has the COOOOLLEESSSTTTTTT Parking and turn signal lamps I have ever seen. A lot of time and ingenuity went into this well executed mod. I have photos of both cars I will try and post tomorrow. But photos do not do either car justice. You have to see them up close and personal... just one more reason you should make it to Louisville. Gene's new red paint color, the graphics, and ground effects look GREAT. We had a total of 18 Kats to attend the Saturday event which included the theatrical unvailing by "Sir Real", Deputising new members into the EAST COAST POSSEE, A cruise to downtown DC including a trip to Arlington Cemetary to see the changing of the guard at the tomb of the UNKNOWN SOLDIER. I have seen this seen this very moving event several times myself and each time it never fails to put things in life, back in perspective. Being a Vet makes it an even more special event. If you have not had the opportunity to witness the changing of the guard..... It SHOULD be on your "to do list". Thanks again Bob Miller for taking us there. Afterwards we returned back to Tammy and Gary's for and evening of fun sitting around a huge warm campfire in the side yard with coolers full of beer, sodas and about 20 Pizzas that Tammy and NiteMan went to pick up for us . We later roasted about a ton of marshmellows and had "Smores" thanks to "Wild Bill" and "Sharon". I think most everyone ajourned by around midnite, and the New Jersey group and Dave and Brenda Mills headed back home on Sunday morning. Gary and Tammy, Bill and Lucy Stevens, Jeff and Miss "M", Bob Miller and myself, decided we would take a day trip up to Lancaster, Pa for the day and it was a fun and beautiful drive, there and back. As usaual the Kats attracted a lot of attention moving or sitting in a parking lot. All in all it was a wonderful event and weekend and I am so glad I attended. You who did not... missed a lot of fun and WE missed having you with us. OUR wonderful friends Wayne and Hattie also attended on Saturday. It was great to see them again. ------------------ |

So good to be running with the ECP last Saturday! Thanks to Jeff (Sir Real), Bob, Wild Bill and Tammy for helping us join in the DC cruise! Gene, Gary and virtually everyone attending inspired us with all the winter mods! Looking forward to the next event on the training schedule... George & Sharon Stafford, VA. |
