OR ... the Hampton Inn on Three Springs Rd. in Bowling Green is one exit down from the Vette plant and has free breakfast buffet and wireless high-speed (for keeping those that can't attend informed on a daily basis). It is also more central to both Nashville and to Louisville, as well as the "strip" in Bowling Green where all the "activity" (restaurants, malls, go-karts, etc. ) are located. Some more "food" for thought. And I would be willing to help in the coordination of a "special" tour of the Vette plant for the Prowler group if this takes shape. |

Well.......I guess it is no longer a rumor! Marty, we need to get busy! How about something at the 1/8 mile drag strip?? There is also a go kart track that boast having the longest track & fastest karts around. Gary ------------------ |

Gary ... there is a drag strip in Bowling Green ... is that the one you are referring to? I know that the Corvette's all use that facility when they have functions at the museum. |

Ray - the track you re talking about is Beech Bend. That could be a possibility if we arrange something for the Corvette Plant/Museum but those are an hour and a half drive away from Louisville. We have a local 1/8 mile track and might be fun to see POA people compete on the shorter distance - our cars are certainly more competitive with other vehicles in the 1/8th as compared with the 1/4 mile. |

Marty & Gary and any other planners. DO IT and we will all come. Going to Huber Farm and Winery is always nice. The Louisville area is full of surprises. Sounds great! |

OK - there appears to be some interest. Now for the input from everyone. What would you all prefer: 1. A week long format like the Dell's, Texas Stampede, Smokies, and Rockies have been OR 2. A 3-4 day, long weekend event like we planned in Louisville in 2002 and 2003 and numerous other regional events. I think the timing/length of event will dictate how many people come from long distance.

My opinion is that you should make it for a week. If people can only make a couple days, they still have that option. |

.......and PLEASE include the weekend in some way, so the ones at work can join the group at least for the weekend.......... JMO This message has been edited by Dustis on 07-24-2005 at 06:13 PM |

The problem with including a weekend is that a lot of the people take a week's vacation and need the weekend's for travel. We would be limited in how long we could stick around in order to get home for work or have to show up late. |
