Here are the final details for the Chelsea Proving Grounds 50th Anniversary event for Saturday, June 19. Please post here if you are definitely attending. I need to provide a number of Prowlers attending by Thursday. Thanks for helping make this event a success and hope to see you there!  The event will be held on Saturday June 19th from 10:00am to 6:00pm. One of the nearby Dealers has agreed to clear out his lot so we have a place to all gather and drive down as a group. The plan is to meet at O'Hara's Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge, located at 1111 W. Michigan Ave, Clinton, MI 49236 (actually right on the corner of Highways 52 & 12) at 8:15 am. The dealership is about 15 miles south of the proving grounds. We will leave as a group (with the Vipers and PT Cruisers) around 9:00 am., making our way to the event and parking together on the front lawn. Once positioned you'll be able to enjoy the day's activities which will include: high speed thrill rides of the 300C, Magnum and Durango, off-road challenge with the Jeep products, NASCAR simulator, Dodge Raminator rides and car crush and a lot more activities. At approximately 2:00 pm, we will meet back at the cars and start the parade through the event and make our way to the high speed test track where all the activities will cease while we make our parade lap around the 4.7 mile track. Once that's finished, we will return to the front lawn where you can park and continue to enjoy the remainder of the event or be on your way. Here is a flyer regarding the event.

CJ - Rebecca is leaving town for a business trip Friday. If I get a wild hair and decide to drive to Michigan Friday after work, is there a Holiday Inn Express, Sleep Inn, or something similar close to where we will meet Saturday morning? Marty |

Marty...........we tried to book some hotel rooms down by Chelsea so we wouldn't have to leave the house at 0darkhundred. Found out that the NASCAR race at Michigan Speedway is the same weekend and EVERYTHING is booked up. You are more than welcome to come and stay at our house. We are only an hour and 20 minutes North of Chelsea and you can leave for home from the event? |

CJ - at this point I am 75% on making it. Thanks for the offer, but I won't be able to leave until late Friday afternoon like 4 or 5 PM. I'll just grab room around Toledo and meet you all Sat morning. If the weather turns iffy I may not make the drive. Which cell phone will you have Saturday - the one ending in 19 or 20? |
