Here goes <> I was born prior to 1910. I was a major film star in the 40's and continued acting into the 80's but in less prestigious roles. I have a younger brother who was a pretty famous actor as well. I starred in a radio series in the 50's and even acted in a soap opera for a couple of years. I had a son who died of a cerebral hemmorage and my wife died after only a few years of marriage. I married a 2nd time and had 3 more children.

Alcoholism and drug abuse ruined my acting career but I did beat it and came back in the acting field to some degree. Alzheimers took my life after 1990 and I succumbed to pneumonia and heart disease. I was in a car movie in the 50's well sort of....

In 1931 at the height of the Great Depression I quit working for a Texas oil company and hitchhiked to Los Angeles to break into show biz.

I was in many TV movies during my career but I am more remembered for my role on one particular show. I was a New York Yankees fan and was in a baseball movie or two. I was a tough little SOB and had a drinking problem combined w/a bad temper. I popped a few actors in the nose in my career.

As I stated I was in a very famous TV series and played a landlord. I was a pretty funny guy and quite sarcastic in my role but I was like that in rel life so it was second nature to me. I had hoped to do a spinoff from my role but other parties wanted no part in it so it fizzled. From there, as luck would have it, I got another opportunity to be in another long running series and I grabbed it. I was in the series until it was reported I had passed and replaced. That was not true but I did have health problems.

I appeared on TV several more times after leaving my last gig. One day in the mid sixties after seeing a movie I was walking on the sidewalk in LA when I collapsed. Despite receiving help efforts to revive me failed and I passed. As suspected it was a heart attack.
