The NJ Chapter of the East Coast Posse/Prowler Owners Association is throwing a car show in order to raise money for the Ocean of Love for Children with Cancer foundation on June 22nd. Ocean of Love is a charitable organization dedicated to helping children with cancer and their families. They assist the children through their illness by providing financial and emotional support so that they can experience the "normal" joys of childhood. Ocean of Love provides: Counseling, Support group Meetings, Physiotherapy, Food assistance, Household bills assistance, Travel expenses to and from the hospital, and much more. This is definitely a worthwhile cause & all proceeds will go to the foundation.

We are looking to establish this a yearly event & it would be nice to use our Kats for a really good cause & help those whom are less fortunate. I am sure we all know someone who is battling or even lost their life to cancer, I actually a few, & each one was a really huge loss in my life... I couldn't imagine the pain of that if it was a child.

This event is sponsored by Applebee's & it will in fact be located at their Manahawkin location (Directions & Information below *+*) We were allotted two parking lots (each holding 100 cars or 50 Kats these lots will be roped off so that there will be no thru traffic. It would be nice to fill up at least one of them, & shoot for two. This event has already been advertised by signs, newspaper ads as well as radio spots. So we should have a pretty good turn out as far as the public, so we can't disappoint them.

This is a Prowler only car show & we are inviting PT Cruiser clubs to join us as well. So we are looking at an all Retro design Chrysler event... We need to get as many Kats there as possible. We can't let PT Cruisers show us up right?

We will have trophies for at least 1st-2nd-3rd & I am working on trying to get a really nice plaque for everyone who enters so that nobody walks away empty handed.

We will have a DJ there (who also owns a Kat). An outdoor veranda will also be supplied for us to sit & eat & all attendees will get discounted meals. We plan on having a very small entry fee & we will also raise money by taking picture's of people next to the Kats for people who donate money. I am also working on raffles; so if anybody has anything that they could donate to help me out, would also be greatly appreciated.

To top this all off... At the end of the event there is an 18 mile cruise planned down Long Beach Island... It will be a really nice ride & I am sure we will turn some heads

I will also post more information for those coming in from a great distance. If there is enough interest, we can turn this into a two day event (car show still on the 22nd) but we can plan a cruise or gathering for Saturday in favor of those coming in from out of town.

It is sure to be a great & rewarding Prowler event & it would be great to see as many people & their kats there as possible. You can bring your PT's as well
