I am limiting orders here for simplicity and too be sure I don't mess up any orders. * 750ml bottles of Maker's Mark Bourbon - $20.00 per bottle I was reluctant to force people to pay for everything with an advance event fee, but I also do not want to order $2000 worth of product and not get paid for it! Reduced cost on Derby Pies. Will have price on MM today. Will get bpricve for full size bats also. Trying to arrange for supply of Daily Racing Forms and Race Programs for the day - don't know costs yet. Just so everyone is clear these bats are real wood with Louiville Slugger logo in middle BUT bats are only 16" long. I just want to be sure you know what you are getting. I will find you I have picked up from another event and post photo. Also, I will see what they chareg to do full size bats with personalized names. AS far as payment- just pay when you come to Louisville. Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |

Marty, go to www.louisvilleslugger.com. Bats are now $50. You can get natural, brown or black. You should order them ahead of time so that they are ready for pick up. They are a really nice gift for a teenage boy who likes baseball. 33 or 34 inch bats. ------------------ This message has been edited by ed monahan on 04-24-2002 at 12:31 AM |

OK I have to go out of town today but Thursday I will either contact or go to Louisville Slugger Museum and get all the details including costs of larger bats. I have been told that someone thinks on the small bats, the personalization has to be the same on a minumun # of bats, so that mean we could not get individual names, but I was not told this when I called. Sorry I can't handle this today. I will post here Thursday as soon as I talk with them. Marty ------------------ Driving my Dream |

Marty, if you're open to suggestions, and have the time how about making the bats commemorative? For example, they could put put something like "POA Louisville Cruise - May 2002". Anyone interested? Just an idea. Hotrod... ------------------ |

Hot Rod - on the 17" bats I can do a group thing limited letters per line - something like Prowling Louisville or whatever on first line and date on next line, but they will not personalize with individuals name. I don't know what minimum order is either and I certainly don't want to pay for bats nobody pays me for. I have already spent over $400 on Maker's Mark Bourbon and $200 on Derby Pies, but at least I can drink and eat whatever people don't buy. It seems most people would like their names on the bats. If I do not here from a number of people I may buy a minimum order of bats with POA Louisville Cruise and date. Marty, the 17" bat with something that says 'I was there" is exactly what I'd like to have. It would be nice to have a memento of the cruise to help me reminisce when I get old and senile. Anyone else feel the same? Hotrod... ------------------ |

Sorry..Fixumm..I have to pay AlleyCat his share of the royality(you know..the AlleyCat seal of approval thing!), but I'll split my share with you for as long as you are still standing and with your eyes opened...no cheating with the "toothpick" thing! This is an open event to all us "wheelchair" guys. ------------------ |
