The price tag for attendance at the Crazy Horse 2001 Event will be $50.00 per person.

This fee will include,

1) Welcoming Meet and Greet in our small Hospitality Suite for the evening of Monday July 2, 2001 at the Holiday Inn Express in Deadwood from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM. Snacks and refreshments will be served.
2) Your personal Prowler Owners Association Nametag.
3) Commemorative Crazy Horse 2001 window sticker (Thanks Phil Genet)
4) Participation in the Fourth of July Parades in both Deadwood and Lead.
5) Show and Shine on Main Street from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in Deadwood after the Deadwood and Lead parades on July 4, 2001.
6) Round trip shuttle bus service from Deadwood to Lead and the Fireworks Celebration. There will be two scheduled departures times 7:30 and 8:00 PM from Deadwood. The motorcoach holds 47 people per trip. After the Fireworks the motorcoach will need to deliver people back to Deadwood before again boarding in Lead. The trip is short but the traffic may slow things down. Please plan accordingly.
7) Entry to the Crazy Horse Memorial on July 5, 2001 from 4:30 PM until 8:00 PM, a video presentation about the memorial and a short guided tour. During our visit, we will have a NO HOST bar with hosted snacks and relish trays for a cocktail hour before dinner. Dinner is included in the cost and will consist of your choice, either Prime Rib or Lemon Chicken and will be served buffet style. We will have a podium with a sound system for our prize drawing and a short thank you message to everyone attending.
8) A twilight tour departing the Crazy Horse Memorial at 8:00 PM back to Deadwood led by Don and Donna Burnap of Rapid City.
9) A hosted Continental breakfast on July 6, 2001 from 7:00 AM until 8:30 AM as a going away present to all who attend.
10) Good times with good friends.

Please remember what I said before. I am planning few if any any awards, prizes or 50/50 drawings for this event. I will be trying to get some gift certificates for products from some of our vendors and would like everyones help in acquiring these. The certificates will be awarded utilizing a drawing of ticket stubs at the Crazy Horse Memorial dinner and can be redeemed as soon as you return home, contact the vendor and make the needed arrangements for shipping. To be eligible you must purchase tickets for the event.

If everything goes well, I should have a small amount money left to cover some of my expenses incurred in the planning this event. Any money left over will be put into the SoCal cash kitty for future events or portions will be distributed to others incurring costs to help put this event together.

Please purchase your tickets NO LATER THAN June 15, 2001 to help me get things rolling. It will be a fantastic event! I look forward to meeting you in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Please send your money to,

Larry Lord
2101 W. Key Street
Colton, CA 92324-6523

Event shirts may be available but are not included in the above costs. More on the shirts later.

Here's a little more information on my plans for the Crazy Horse Event.

As of June 13, 2001 we have 38 Prowlers and 79 people paid and planning on being at the Crazy Horse Tour 2001.

Please remember this is an open event to bring the Prowler Owners together for some good times and cruises.
This event is not intended as a bumper to bumper cruise full planned and scheduled event.
My hope is that everyone will organize many smaller cruises during the days and then return to the planned events that are scheduled. There are many things to see and do in this beautiful area.

Please feel free to plan your own days and cruises.

July 2, 2001,,,,,,,,Evening Meet and Greet, at the Deadwood Holiday Inn Express, in the hospitality suite!. Food and drinks will be provided.

July 3, 2001,,,,,,,,,Open Cruising, no planned events,,,,,,,,my personal plan is to depart deadwood at about 8:00 AM and visit Rapid City, the Badlands National Park, join up with Highway 90, and head east to the Pioneer Car Museum in Murdo. After the car museum we will head west to Wall Drug and then continue back to Deadwood for the evening.

July 4, 2001,,,,,,,,,, Don Burnap and I have spoken to the Deadwood and Lead Chambers of Commerce. They are very excited about our visit. The morning will start with a very beutiful cruise through Spearfish Canyon and on into Sturgis and possibly Fort Meade. We need to be back in Deadwood and ready to line up for the Parades by 2:00 PM. Deadwood and Lead are going to have TWO consecutive parades in the the towns of Lead (4:30 PM) and Deadwood (3:30 PM) with bands, gunfighters, etc. and we will all be in both of them. At the end of the parades we will park on Main Street in Deadwood (closed to traffic) for the Show and Shine Prowler Show for 2 hours from 5 - 7 PM. After the show and shine we will park the cars for the night and freshen up a little, we will then board a shuttle bus at 7:30 for our trip to the Fireworks in Lead, the largest fireworks (complete with music) display in South Dakota. The display is fired off over the open pit gold mine in Lead. After the fireworks we will again board the shuttle bus for our return to Deadwood's motel and casinos.

July 5, 2001,,,,,,,,,Crazy Horse Dinner Banquet at 4:30 PM and Twilight Cruise through the Black Hills,,,,,,,,my personal plan for the day will be to visit Custer National Park via the PigTail Bridges, Mt Rushmore and the Needles Highway. Anyone that wishes to do otherwise is welcome to do their own cruise this day, but I would hope that they will meet us at Crazy Horse for dinner at 4:30 - 7:30 PM. Our day will end with a twilight cruise led by Don and Donna Burnap of Rapid City for a final night of friendship, back in Deadwood.

Things are coming together perfectly so far. I am sure that some of these things will change but I feel pretty confident in what I've just told you about the trip. I am still working with the local Plymouth dealer and the Deadwood C of C. Plans at this time are to inform the media that "The Cats are coming to Prowl the Hills". The local dealer will also be doing radio and TV advertising to promote our tour.

Even though I said that I would not be doing it,,,,I will have a small give away or drawing for prizes. My plan is to use numbered tickets for the Crazy Horse dinner. One half of the numbered ticket will be put into a hat for a drawing during or after dinner. The other half will be your dinner ticket. No ticket,,No dinner! I plan on asking vendors for donations to our event but I will also ask that they only furnish certificates and not product at the time of the event. The certificates will then be able to be redeemed when the owner gets home by contacting the vendor. In this way, I will not need to drag any of the gift items with me and the owners will not have to worry about getting their prizes home.

The Pioneer Auto Museum in Murdo, South Dakota is offering all Crazy Horse 2001 Tour attendees a 50% discount on admission to the museum on July 2nd and 3rd. Regular admission is 7.00 per person. Fifty percent off makes it a real deal at 3.50 per person.
Be sure to mention the Prowler Owners Association to get your discount.
This museum is a must see either on your way to or from Deadwood.
I'll be leading a tour through the Badlands National Park to the Pioneer Car Museum in Murdo on July 3, 2001 with a stop at Wall Drug on our way back to Deadwood.

Ed,

I really have no idea. You've sold many to some of the attendees already haven't you.

My goal is to have them on every car in the parades.
At this time it looks like at least 42 Prowlers.
All 6 of my SoCal People will take a set.

The NEW INCA GOLD Prowler will be at the Crazy Horse Tour 2001 driven by factory engineer Jerry Scholten and his wife Marcia.

Jerry will be answering any questions you may have concerning the Prowler.
Just like the Grand Canyon 2000 Tour it will be a five day traveling Tech Session.

Thank You DC for making this possible.

Ed - Jerry and Marsha Carroll are on a two month vacation traveling in their new motorhome. Their black cat is in summer hybernation!
